Triple J Review- You Can't Ask That

I’ve always loved stories, talking about stories, writing stories, telling embellished tales, and with some practise I’ve honed these skills not too shabbily. What I can’t do just yet, is work to a two and a half minute time limit. 
I like to think I’m a discerning content consumer, my taste varies wildly, at the moment I’m watching The Handmaid’s Tale, I’m revisiting Sherlock now that I’ve read the original stories, and catching up on the ABC’s Rake, but in fairness my encyclopaedic Simpsons knowledge didn't happen by accident. The show raised me, and I visit that side of my family regularly.
It’s hardly unique to cinemaphiles, but I do love me some Tarantino. Here’s a snippet of my review of The Hateful Eight: 
“Beautiful cinematography, snappy, unpredictable dialogue, great performances, topped off with Tarantino's signature gore. 
Also, long. 
3 hours of frontier grumbling in the snow, interspersed with hard-to-watch psychological and physical torture.”
This weekend was my first foray into podcasting and sound editing, so the end product (given the time constraints) is understandably a bit rough. I really look forward to an opportunity to improve my writing, reviewing techniques and technical skills to create a series of reviews that might one day come close to Marc Fennell’s grace and beauty.
