Daniel Landau's "COR" is a piece realized after a long process of exploring and developing two bizarre instruments: The MIDI Recorder and the MIDI controlled organ. These instruments carry a long tradition of baroque music which made the challenge and motivation even greater in incorporating this acoustical signatures into current technological environment. It is dedicated to Cesar Villavicencio.

Yidaki is the Australian aboriginal word for didgeridoo. The piece is based on the sounds of this instrument and the mentality of the aboriginal people. Their concept of time and space is incomprehensible to us. Time and space are non-linear and very related to each other. This means that what happens now will always be related to the place where it happened, and not to the time when the event is taking place. Eventually this will drive a western mind into chaos, while the aboriginal soul accepts the chaos as part of the dream that is time and  space.

Mundos came as a necessity to express the hidden history of Peru, where I was born and raised. It did not take long to realize that the discovery of the Inca Empire by the Spanish hides a tragedy of the proportion of a holocaust, where more than 10 million indians were killed. Pututos, harps and voices are processed in a chronological discursive line were natural sounds are gradually subdued by technological ones. Thaks to Tito La Rosa for allowing me to record him playing the vasijas silbadoras, zampoñas and pututos.

This is a 6-voice motet by Gioseffo Zarlino "Miserere mei, Deus". 4 of the voices are written in polyphony and the other 2 execute a cantus firmus in canon. It has 3 parts; this is the recording of the first part. The motet is written in the 4th mode with final E and, because of the use of low clefs, the GReCo Consort, composed by a full recorder consort, 4 singers and dulcian, is playing it a 4th higher in the tuning of mezzo-punto (a=465Hz).

We recorded Calliope Tsoupaki's composition Sappho's Tears (1990), for female voice, tenor recorder and violin, in Amsterdam in 1996. Calliope was herself present in one of the recording sessions. This composition received an honorable mention at the International Rostrum of Composers, organized by the International Music Council under the auspices of UNESCO in Paris in 1997.

In the midst of our quarantine, Luiza, my daughter, and I decided to play music to fill our souls with some hope and happiness. This is one of the musics we prepared. We hope you like it. Good health to everyone.
