It’s been a strange time (again) with good parties in short supply, and less opportunities to feel free and just let go. That’s why THIS was so special. On Oct 29th I played at an outdoor party in Miami called Hocus Pocus. It was a gorgeous night, miami air, humid, lasers in the sky…. And I felt…. FREE. I started a bit standard, but quickly started to loosen up and decided to just really play records I loved….. then when my set was over (2hrs) everybody looked at me and it was silently decided to just keep playing. Something I rarely do ( but I should) So the last hour or so… was just me having fun; Talking Heads records, Antony, Frankie Knuckles, old and new. Even a classic MOBY record believe it or not. It really was fun, and the kind of night where you go home happy and excited and in love.
