We need a riddim, a real good dancing riddim! Yes, you guessed it, BAILAR RIDDIM is the first anthem of the summer of '21. Now, the question is, can we go back soon to normality? Will we celebrate public parties again, are we gonna gather on beaches and at the pools? Are we gonna open up the clubs and festivals? Is Ibiza gonna be the party island of the world again?
Well, we don't know the answer to that, as of right now (end of January 2021). But one thing is for sure, we keep on releasing music and provide you with bangers for the spring and summer parties of all sizes. If it's the beach in form of your kids sandbox or if it is the sandy white beach of Mauritius, the music remains the same, the vibe is the same and you should celebrate it as if it's the real thing!

The second remix of this classic to drop as part of our 30 Years of Vicious celebrations, we’re delighted to welcome Toolroom Records head honcho Mark Knight to remixing duty.
 
Mark’s signature house music sound has remained a staple of Beatport and Traxsource charts since they first started, not to mention on vinyl before the digital era of music began. Recognised as one of the world's most well known DJs and producers, here Mark adds his own flavour to the almighty Avicii & Sebastien Drums hit.
 
A powerful and funk fuelled house vibe is the recipe for success here. Complete with the original hooks blended seamlessly with Mark’s unique trademark groove, and a super slick arrangement that punctuates the theme. The full vocal teases as the tune really starts to kick, firing forward with an energy that will lift any crowd. Adding a cheeky, well timed Pete Tong sample paying homage to Avicii’s legacy adds to the sustained emotion of the track. Mark's  monumental remix works on a myriad of levels and will instantly stand out in DJ sets.

"It's a big deal getting to remix Avicii. He's without doubt one of the most talented producers we've ever seen - a modern day genius who was taken from us far too soon. I wanted to keep my remix sympathetic to the original while also putting my own stamp on it, so I took it back a little closer to the vibe of the Gwen McCrae source material - loosening things up a little and giving it a bit more of a disco flavour. I was honoured to be asked and I hope people connect with the results."

Masked UK production duo Wh0 have linked up with fellow rising producer Zirretta on new single ‘Show Me Your Love’, out 8th July on Lift Me Up Records.

An irresistibly slick combination of rousing piano chords, pumping club beats and pitch-perfect vocals, ‘Show Me Your Love’ is the perfect summer banger. Following on from Henry Daniel’s tech bomb ‘Shake That’ and Marvel Riot and Celina Sharma’s sultry ‘Say You Want It’, which was subsequently remixed by Sub-X, ‘Show Me Your Love’ is the latest in a series of tracks that Lift Me Up plans to release. With its founding mission to put amazing dance music in front of people - from crossover dance records to club focused tracks - the label will be a positive place for like-minded individuals to come together and collaborate. 

“We bounced several versions of this record back and forth with Zirretta for almost TWO YEARS before finalising,” Wh0 admit. “But we always persevered as we knew there was something super strong here. This is due to be Zirretta’s first release ever, and as an up-and-coming artist, we still decided to do this record with him as we are strictly about good music - not politics!”

Zirretta adds: “Though I was a new producer at the time work on this track started, I had been playing instruments (namely, piano and guitar) most of my life, and I always love to jam and just feel out a new groove. Something special happened when I came across those dramatic vocals, and the piano hook just fit beautifully. The bassline added some funk in a way you wouldn’t first anticipate when hearing the vocals and piano; yet it complimented them very well and pushed the track in a club-friendly direction.”

Decked out in black masks, and fearless in their studio execution, mysterious UK duo Wh0 have wasted little time in seducing some of music’s biggest players. The context of this curious duo is blissfully limited. Just a few short years since their inception, they find themselves standing tall with records alongside Nile Rodgers, The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Bob Sinclar, Meduza, Tiesto and more - with a Grammy nomination to boot.

Zirretta’s music attempts to balance uplifting, joyful, bright energy with dirty, funky, club-friendly beats. Inspiration for this duality is never hard to find in beautiful Santa Barbara, where he is happy to call home.
