A very special project comes to Colorize - this is 'X' from Matt Fax, a celebration of 10 years of Matt Fax releases!

It has been a decade since the world was graced with the first release from progressive maestro Matt Fax. The Frenchman quickly ascended the ranks of global producer / DJs, establishing himself over the course of ten years as a mainstay in the world of progressive dance music, garnering a worldwide following in the process. In that time he has released two artist albums, a host of impressive singles and remixes, taken the reins on Colorize's 'Colorscapes' compilation and toured the world from Los Angeles to Amsterdam to Tokyo.

'X' is an exceptional project marking a marvellous ten years for Matt Fax that features twenty of his favourite originals and remixes. We see classic releases on labels like Colorize, Anjunabeats, Armada and more, and remixes for renowned acts like Ferry Corsten and Lane 8. It comes to you in the format of two exemplary retrospective DJ mixes that highlight a musician who has indubitably come into his own. Also included are ten of the most sought-after unreleased IDs from Matt Fax's sets over the past decade, all of which were diligently finalized by Matt Fax over the past few months to make this release a spectacular celebration of his work.

It's been a sensational decade for Matt Fax and we can't wait to see what the next one has in store.

Premiere: Choir Of Young Believers 'Hollow Talk' (Jody Wisternoff, James Grant & Lane 8 Remix)

Mr. Moon is Double Dipp’s first EP on Taul Boy Records, and his first deviation from his signature romonimal character. Having long admired the likes of Delano Smith, Johnny D, and Guti, Double Dipp intended to go into the studio session with a more upbeat house groove while keeping true to his signature minimal roots. 

Mr. Moon is Double Dipp’s interpretation of every clubgoers nighttime persona, pursuing a freedom and euphoria only available to us through music. It is often at night where the absence of light clouds our insecurities, where reflection makes room for expression, where the shackles around our identities unravel, and where our inner Mr. Moon comes to light.

Endgame is the track for the late night crowd, for the ones that stay till the end of the set looking for a deeper meaning, no matter how rough or real it is. The track starts off with a slow progressive energy, giving the track a push and pull movement  with the evolving drum rhythms that make the track feel as if it’ll never fully coalesce, but rather just keep growing. 

Time Loop’s simple melodic loops and percussion drive keep you in a state of hypnotic flow, leaving clubbers in a dancing daze. A track that’s contradictory by nature, the song’s calming lunar ambiences supply a melody that contrasts the ever-building coarse acid line tension. 

Finally, the eponymous track, Mr. Moon, is Double Dipp’s third collaboration with the talented Aidan Phillips, or Eyo, a longtime collaborator. Mr. Moon’s Infectious drum groove and enchanting chords evoke the sleepless nights each of us spend in a lull, contemplating the mysteries of tomorrow, hoping to be able to relive the pure bliss felt on the dance floor.

Art Vibes is ready to kick off this new decade with the third edition of Winter Vibes. This year we are showcasing the music of international producers, focusing on cold and synthetic sounds.

Armenian producer Teom starts his musical year with Under The Sun, his much anticipated third release on the label. Dreamlike piano notes echo over synthetic percussions and repetitive synth arpeggio. As a tribute to his roots, armenian words are sung, creating more tension for the inevitable hypnotic drops.

After a fantastic year with Art Vibes in 2019, Veytik further establishes his universe with his new banger Journey to Alik’r. Setting up an ethereal and surreal atmosphere, the New-York based producer takes you on a hypnotic dance, sparkling his craft with subtle ethnic touches.

Classically trained ukrainian producer Helen&Boys makes her debut in our winter series with Force. The afro percussions and hypnotic grooves drive the piece while a digital xylophone hook resonates on top of a pumping bassline.

Hailing from the warm sands of Egypt, Mooh joins Art Vibes with Speechless. Relishes of oriental tones reflect its inspiration and sublime the otherwise pumping beat. Dark and mystical, this track will surely make a difference in any late-hour set.

Montreal based Beyond Physical makes a solid comeback with Origins feat. Cara. Created for clubs, their newest opus is fast, precise, and straight to the point. Cara’s vocals lead the path of this esoteric voyage accompanied by a driving bass and tribal percussions.

Ras Algethi is one of those producers who always deliver quality, easily navigating different styles and moods. I Won’t Be Alone is catchy and progressive, focusing on carefully sound-designed pads and synth patches. The sampled vocals echo into deep and dreamy drops.

Pandhora teamed up with tunisian producer and DJ Nacim Gastli, giving birth to Metanoia. Metanoia is progressive and uplifting, shifting away from their ethnic sound signature. The pumpy beat stands as a solid foundation for the the digitized vocal choeurs and the slightly detuned arpeggio of the SEM V synthesizer.

Always on the lookout for new talents, we are happy to put the spotlight on Bulk Beat’s melodic and dreamy composition Agata. The growling bass of Agata supports the moving chord progression and allow the delicate synthesizers to fully express their analog warmth.
