There are forms in the shade
Triangle of oppression
And squares of commonness 
Rectangles of pomposity
And circles of stability
The shadows contains shapes

It is better to apprehend
The forms in the shade
Than juggling with the futile
Side of life experienced
By the nameless majority
The form is distinctive

They like their games
We like our shapes
Under the cover of darkness
The light reveals pale imitations
Of lower gods and angels
The dark has huge potential

Without your help
Miriam you are sent
By the Eternal
To guide me through
The vicissitudes of Life.

Miriam, it is necessary
For me to establish
A connection with 
Your energy and radiance
The secular world
Is full of snares and traps.

I count on you, Miriam
To aid me in receiving
The Divine Presence
I count on you, Miriam
To make me worthy
Of Her love and Guidance.

Storms From The Heart POEM By Jmavril  STORMS FROM THE HEART
Storms from the heart
Paralyse and are the concern
Of doctors trapped in mindsets
That do not allow for the soul
To be a factor and a reality
They only consider the genes.

Storms from the heart
Have disturbed the subtle
Fabric of the environment
The humans pollute
The non-humans 
With their lack of peace.

Storms of the heart
Come and go
But the price can be high
If the deeds caused
By those tempests
Lead to mass murder.

Things happen
They are connected
Though the link
Is not visible
To the naked eye
Yet they happen.

You believe in chance
Things happen
Good or bad
All interlinked 
For a reason
Or a set of reasons.

It is nice indeed
When the coincidence
That is meaningful
Brings expansion
When it brings contraction
It is hard.

Life so seems like that
All connectedness
And collective 
And individual interactions
On  several levels.
Both good and bad…

No one believes in the devil
But they act as if they were he.
They say that it is
An old wives’ tale
But perpetrate deeds
That are hellish in nature.

They claim the light of science
And succeed in upsetting
The world and its dwellers
They claim peace for all
Yet collateral damage
Has become a banality.

Add to this the shallowness
And the stupidity
Of human resources
And you have the devil
Manifesting as the bureaucrat
The serial killer and the consumerist.

THE GALLANTRY OF THE PRINCE
The gallantry of the prince
Is a funny anachronism
He is lost in the rude
Habits of my peasant family
My colleagues, my mates
And my streetwise girlfriend.

The tired prince looks 
With sad nostalgia
Back to the dust of a world
Of biplanes and epaulettes
I show him the flying saucer
And the uniform of a US marine.

The prince sneezes and begs
For forgiveness.   Poor chap!
The kid from the street gang
Looks at him and laughs
The prince loses his mind
When he meets the alien.

It is fantastic
To sit upon the roof, 
Watching the stars,
Getting soaked
Thanks to the rain.
The roof is my abode.

I have always
Lived upon the roof
I have always
Feasted upon the roof
I have always slept
Upon the roof.

It is rather unfortunate
That the terrorist
Selected this building,
The one with my roof
The bomb blew the edifice up
And me and my roof were gone!

They say sins against
The Father and the Son
Are forgivable,
But not the sin
Against the Holy Spirit.
What does that mean?

But if I am given the answer
Will I like it?
I have projected
My inquiry in the Web.
I don’t know
If anyone will respond.

Is it the sin
Against Immanence,
A sin that would deny
The religion of the other
Its share of Spirit?
Then it is grave indeed.

Science and superstitions,
Modernity and tradition.

Books and scrolls,
A ruined temple
And houses of meeting
The Divine Presence
Is always keeping an eye
Within and without.

TORMENT
Tornadoes and earthquakes
Pestilences and false gods
Family break down
And societal disintegration
Prevalence of technology
And the vanishing of hand-made craft.

The dominance of killing substances
The addiction to ephemeral things
The increase of gossips and scandals
The extermination of species
The pollution of what’s left
Of the garden and the viruses

A catalogue of aberrations
Shows us implacably
That we are moving
From one Age to the next
The transition is terrible

We Ve Learnt Nothing POEM By Jmavril  WE’VE LEARNED NOTHING

We’ve learned nothing
Millions were destroyed
During the Great cataclysm
And there’s been a number
Of other man-made disasters
Since that dreadful time.

What will it take
For humanity to learn
That wars achieve nothing
But calamity and desolation.
Some say the transition age
Can only foster conflicts.

There is the hugeness
Of the universe
And there is the parochialism
Of small territories
Seen as holy, though
Nationalism is unholy.

And so here we go again.
New and old empires,
New and old nations
Battle for land acquisition
Thousands die in the process.
We haven’t learned.
