i realize that the purer the improv, the more chance to sound like a right clown at times😂🕺🤪
 just a badly 'mixed' sketch for ideas.....

the pastor's drive
from a set of 3 incidental pieces where the pastor spins the dial (🚗) and sings along with the radio, while animated visuals provide strange/familiar psychedelic lights and shadows

this is piece 2, 'long wave'
he finally finds a song he knows called 'god country' towards the end

anyone want to do some harmonies or sumfing?

This came out of a piece I'd been developing over a couple of weeks, searching for variations around a central theme on felt piano. After a couple of less than successful attempts at developing the track with a fixed bpm I ended up freestyling it as an improv with some subtle drones from Spitfire labs Foghorn, a unique and free library of sounds derived from recordings of the Sumburgh head Foghorn on Shetland. 
One of the options in the labs library is a selection of engine room noises from the two diesel engines that power the foghorn, I wondered whether the engine room could stand in for percussion on the track and here is the result. Thanks for taking time out to check it out.

i was working on a song called 'vera' when this came out
i thought about calling it 'let it out, vera'
maybe that's the colloquial title that only true sailors of the wild-seas will sing or have sung
anyway, production suffers when the improv calls, and the room slowly becomes a midden again
usual 6 figure production job to follow :)
