Ahl El Kahf is a soundscape composition draws its inspirational roots from the elegnd story of the cavemen , whom, after being persecuted  of their beliefs and opinions sought refuge in a cave. The legend tells that the cave was mystical, and they fell asleep for hundreds of years until one day, they woke up, discovered that their tormentors disappeared and times had changed. I directly felt the analogy with modern times. Freedom of speech is threatened. Thinkers, lawyers, journalists, and people  in general  are still facing adversity and judgement for their credo, their messages and sometimes their own identity. The image of the cave as safe haven may be seen as an introspection and reconciliation with ourselves, to get the strength to face the adversities ahead. Sound material found in the composition is basically mimetic, and the syntax is mainly extrapolated from it. The soundscape design of the mystical cave links the properties of sound to our perception, how pressure waves interact with our brains, feelings and emotions. Binaural Beats have been used to generate 6Hz (theta waves), and ASMR sounds were chosen to model the composition. The choice of the sonic material was made according to researches made in the field (references are shown below). Only algorithmic simulation has been used for this little composition, while binaural microphone should be used to emphasize the effect. In-fant is a musician and beatmaker born in Tunis and based in Rome.
The music he makes illustrates the metamorphosis of his cultural heritage and its transformation through time.
