Known for his raw, cutting-edge, truth telling flow, Yung 380, whose real name is DeAndre Smith is an American Hip-Hop artist who hails from California. Born in Compton, he grew up in Bakersfield where the streets around him heavily influenced his artistry. After being shot at the age of 18, Yung380 started his rapping career. Artists who influence his sound include Mac Dre, Tupac, DJ Quik, and E-40. Yung 380’s catalog dates back nearly a decade filled with real, raw hip-hop that details his everyday life in the streets. Yung 380 started his career featured with many bay area artists many who later became co label mates. Late 2014, Yung 380 broke away from his group projects to pursue his solo career. In May 2015, his debut mixtape, Let Tha Truth B Told reached moderate success on Datpiff.com, leading mixtape domain, and social media platforms. Featured songs included “D.R.U.G. Dealaz”, his Yo Gotti Act Right flip which gained a huge following on Facebook with over 1K views, and ‘Ain’t About That Life feat. OZ” from the Bay Area. The mixtape also featured artists Booby-Trap, K-Mac, and Young Black. Yung 380 is CEO of his record label, Hallway ENT. Yung 380 has opened for some Ice Cube, Krazy Bone, J Stalin, Mac Duna and many more.
