Stephen Gopaul’s musical roots are deep rooted and span generations as far back as his great grandfather’s time spent as a professional sitar player in India as well as his grandfather “The Singing Cowboy” of Guyana,  South America who gained brief fame during WWII As he would sing to the British troops disembarking for some much needed R&R in Guyana. Troops would bring back guitar strings back for him as they were non existent there at the time. Later, he would become the professor of sound engineering for the University of Toronto where he retired. 
With so much diversity in the past, Stephen grew up up in the 80’s as an original member of the punk rock back The Unsatisfied and later joined Prince Albert and the Fireweed Stampede(roots Reggae) and One Way Ticket (folk rock), and instruction from Ray Booker formerly of the the Yellow Jackets (Jazz) further stretching his bass experience to span another decade. 
With so many different genres under his belt, no genre is off limits to Gopaul. The music is always changing and developing as a sign of the times. With my son Parker Gopaul, we can now add a duo side project that few father son duos can compete with. Hailing from the USA, New Orleans, Anchorage and Nashville we constantly are searching the states for the best possible experience and community for our grand entrance.
