لكثرة المهازلِ حولكَ؛

يسويِهنَّ السريرُ وهُوَ يمُطُّ الصَّريرَ بالآهاتِ ليليًّا/
ستبغتُكَ ضحكةٌ دردَاءُ جوَّانيةٌ ممَّا دونَ اللغةِ
وتميتُكَ من فورِكَ
حينَ تصقلُ خواتِيمَ النَّثر شعرًا
وأنتَ تقهقهُ وتسعلُ وتبصقُ القطرانَ
بأجفَان مبلُولةٍ
حتى إذا ما دخلتَ القبْرَ تقولُ :
إلى اللقاءِ، يا موتُ !
ستكونُ نافرًا في وجْه المراثي وتصكُّها 
على زجاج الغياب 
كحبَّاتِ طماطم عفِنة، ..
أليسَ الرَّحيلُ بدورهِ مهزلَةٌ متقنَةُ الصنْع لكثرَة التَّكرارِ؛
هيَ ذي، إذن، ضحكَةٌ صفرَاءُ جسمانيِّةٌ ممَّا تحت الرئةِ
