Psalm 5 – Reggae Adaptation

Verse 1 (Psalm 5:1–3)
Give ear to my words, O Jah, my King,
Consider my meditation when I sing.
Hear my cry in the morning light,
To Thee will I pray at dawn so bright.

Verse 2 (Psalm 5:4–6)
For Thou art not a Jah that delight in sin,
Evil shall not dwell within.
The foolish fall by their wicked tongue,
Jah cast them out, their lies undone.

Chorus (repeat)
Jah, You hear me when I rise,
Morning sun in my eyes.
Guide my steps the righteous way,
Bless my soul through every day.

Verse 3 (Psalm 5:7–8)
But as for me, I will enter in,
Thy house with mercy, free from sin.

Their mouth is deceit, their heart full of wrong,
But Jah shall defend the righteous strong.
