In this monthly mix series, we ask one person to create a mixtape on their selected topic. Together with the mix, we release an individual artwork that visually picks up on the theme.

Our first mixtape comes from Kunu. It embraces the concept of ‚Ups and Downs' through a selection of tracks that swing between energetic and emotional, creating an unpredictable and dynamic experience that reflects the fluid nature of the world around us.

Wir servieren: Schleichcast°40 - eine runde Nummer im doppelten Sinne, denn mit diesem Set legen Friends of Hannes ein ziemlich stabiles Brett hin, das mal wieder beweist, wie energiegeladen und antreibend Downtempo daherkommen kann. Was die partners in crime hier kredenzt haben, könnte wörtlich mit Adjektiven wie sphärisch, progressiv und melodisch beschrieben werden, hier und da mit technoiden Peaks, die auf deepere Stimmungslagen treffen. Dabei scheint der Blick jedoch stets nach vorne gerichtet, die gut anderthalb Stunden von einem gewissen Schub begleitet. Am Ende gilt unsererseits natürlich wie immer die wärmste Empfehlung eines Klicks auf den Play-Button, denn zum Nachempfinden deutlich besser geeignet als das Lesen dieser Set-Beschreibung ist natürlich der Hörsinn. Zudem legen wir euch dringend ans Herz, mal das SoundCloud-Profil des DJ- und Producer-Duos in musikalischer Fernbeziehung abzuchecken, denn dort findet ihr nicht nur zahlreiche Releases der zwei auf Labels wie kosa, Magician on Duty und Downtempo Rituals, sondern auch einen brandneuen Free Download...

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wer seid ihr und woher kommt ihr? 
Wir sind Max und Peter und kommen
aus Deutschland und Ungarn. Aktuell wohnen wir in Berlin und München
und haben uns während unseres Studiums in München kennengelernt.

>>Wie kamt ihr zum Auflegen/Musik machen? 
Bevor wir uns für elektronische Musik entschieden haben, haben wir beide bereits Producer- und Musik-Erfahrungen in anderen Genres gesammelt. Peter hat sich vor allem viel mit House Musik beschäftigt - Max hat früher viel Klavier und Gitarre gespielt. Gemeinsam haben wir für uns dann immer mehr Techno und ähnliche Genre entdeckt - und uns dazu entschlossen, unsere musikalische Reise als Duo anzutreten.

>>Was hat euch für das Set inspiriert? 
Wir haben bewusst ausschließlich schnelle Tracks ausgewählt, die wir jedoch deutlich langsamer abspielen. Für uns verändert das total den Vibe, und passt gerade total zu der Frühlingszeit, wo alles anfängt zu blühen und vor Kraft zu strotzen.

>>Was gefällt euch besonders an "langsamer" Musik? 
In unserer schnelllebigen Welt ist es wertvoll die Geschwindigkeit ein wenig herunterzufahren. Musik ist ein wunderbares Mittel dafür. Die Zeit zwischen den Beats ist länger und unser Gehirn kann einzelne Sounds viel besser wahrnehmen, was zu einem intensiveren Erlebnis führt. Außerdem kann man langsamere Musik auch zu Hause oder an anderen entspannten Orten genießen.

>>Welcher Moment eures Künstlertums hat euch nachhaltig beeinflusst?
Obwohl wir nur wenige Livesets gespielt haben, hat es uns immer total motiviert, wenn Leute ihre Wertschätzung für unser Set zum Ausdruck gebracht haben. Auch wenn andere DJs unsere Tracks spielen oder Leute zufällig genau dort in der Aufnahme nach ner ID fragen - das spornt uns jeden Tag an, weiterhin Musik zu machen! :)

One of my main goals for this year is to share more constantly with all the community some selection of my music library, so Im very happy to publish for all of you the first chronic with a meticulous selection with a lot of variety of rhythms, melodies, instruments and tastes, with some jazz, rock, hip hop, trap, downtempo and languages from all around the world like spanish, italian, german, english, turkish, portuguese, french and some bizarre sounds.

Big shoutout to Jschalp in Davos (Switzerland) for hosting me as a resident DJ! Every second Saturday was a blast - I soaked up every moment. Hopefully, I'll be back next season for more unforgettable day dances. This mix is a live recording from one of those epic winter 2023/2024 gigs @ Jschalp. We Present To You One Of Kindreds Rare & Exclusive Dubstep-Mixes for your ears! 

Kindreds Electronic Mind was born in the heavy bassline thunderstorms with which the English Dubstep movement shook the underground in the 2000er years. Moving to Berlin in 2012, the local Techno vibe influenced him with its irresistible flow decisively. Still, he never lost his favor for heavy, moving bassline, dark atmospheres and the love for a surprising psychedelic twist. Founding his own collective with friends, making own parties and music, moving the underground, the Berlin electronic scene became his home. In countless gigs from all over Berlin, to all parts of Germany, from Holland down to the marvellous island of Sardinia this guy hypnotised ravers of all kinds, sucking them into the inescapable vortex of energetic Techno and introducing them to a new, unknown dimension.
In the end of 2020 his own Technolabel "Charybdis" came to life, which he is curating together with his good friend and musical partner Vittjas Tief.
