Born in 1983, Rob Craggs—better known behind the decks as DJ Crisis, or simply Egg to those who know him best—was raised on cassette tapes, boom boxes, and the early thump of bounce music and underground techno. By the time the new millennium rolled in, he had already carved a name for himself in local warehouse parties and gritty parking lot raves. From 2000 to 2006, he held the decks down at The New Money, a now-legendary club known for its sweat-soaked walls and dance floors that never slept.

At The New Money, DJ Crisis was more than just a DJ—he was the engine of the night. With his signature mohawk and focused intensity, he delivered high-energy sets of bounce-infused beats layered with pounding techno rhythms. His sets didn’t just get people dancing—they transformed crowds into a single living organism, moving in sync with every drop and build.

When the club scene started to shift and the early 2000s faded into memory, DJ Crisis didn’t slow down. He evolved.

Two decades later, Rob Craggs is still turning knobs and moving minds. Now, he creates high-energy home sets on a weekly basis, uploading them to SoundCloud for a loyal community of listeners who’ve followed him from the rave days to the digital age. His sound merges futuristic techno, hard-hitting bounce, and underground rhythms from around the globe.
