Ariel is a scriptural poetic name for Jerusalem. Ariel’s Light evokes, through music, the mystery and the beauty that can be felt throughout this holy city. Like its pungent spices and aromatic scents, melodic themes intermingle, creating a synthesis of harmony and dissonance. The timeless hope of living in relative peace, while still conflicted by tensions and discord, is expressed throughout. The final movement is a melodic--rhythmic interplay, reflecting humanity’s collective yearning to actualize an era of perpetual peace.
By revealing the hidden light within the darkness, each of us is empowered to transform darkness into light.
