First & foremost..let's not get too soppy, but ONE HUNDRED.  Let us take a brief moment for this to sink in... this brand was covid born & influenced by creatives from the past, present & emerging and simply just by being a Fan. 

How this has been received & accepted by the community is something we never imagined, it's always been about the music and the people behind the track filling a little gap for all of us to celebrate on a weekly basis.  From once was a dull day & grind 'climbing that proverbial hill' to now a day of the week we rather look forward to in a cheeky way, transporting you from the office desk to various visual landscapes that either encapsulates the sound of the mixed tape or the artists background. 

All we can say is thank you, thank you so much to our listeners, partners, friends & family for the guidance and support.  The scene in our opinion is so ever healthy & connected and we are privileged to be endorsed by each & every one of you locally & internationally.  

We have such a special person & mix in celebration of this milestone so enough of us and to more of this..

That’s Why You’re Dancing (TWYD) is a record label founded by the parisian DJ, producer, vocalist and songwriter Selena Faider. TWYD is also the name of Selena Faider’s hugely popular monthly online DJ shows, dedicated to sharing the power of house and electronic music all around the world.

Paris-born DJ, producer, vocalist and songwriter Selena Faider is building a steadfast reputation as one of France’s brightest rising stars. Known for her infectious, energy-fuelled sets, diverse selection and catchy vocal melodies, her music is making a huge impact on both clubs and radios with incredible support from Arielle Free, TSHA, Joseph Capriati over 2024, her success story to must-know name continues to accelerate heading into 2025.

Faider released her first record ‘Underground World’ alongside the New York house music legend Todd Terry, who picked up the track on his own label InHouse. It was at this time she also joined the House Gospel Choir, where she developed her skills as a vocalist, performing at the ensemble’s live shows.
Faider’s regularly been involved with Defected Records, Elrow, Beatport and played iconic venues like Printworks and Drumsheds alongside the likes of legendary DJs like Dom Dolla, Gorgon City, Sarah Story, Eats Everything and more.

Described by DJ Mag as “The Future of House”, Faider’s is one of the most exciting producers of the year so far. Track Of The Week, Dance Anthems on BBC Radio 1 with ‘Party People’. One of her latest track ‘Everybody’ went viral on TikTok with videos from The Lakers Los Angeles, Kim Kardashian Skims’, Nike. Her career continues to go from strength to strength in the dance music scene, with a string of high-profile club and festival bookings and release plans already in the calendar for 2025.
