Info: We're delighted to announce that on his Stimulation EP, Uneven is taking his production style from the 2024 Density EP to new heights. The four drum and bass tunes are just right, with a nice mix of militant breakbeats, aggressive subs and expansive soundscapes. While 'Brutalism' echoes on concrete, 'Underscore' marches to its own drumbeat. Almanac maintains the energy levels, and the title track brings the EP to a close in madness.

A rising luminary in the Southern electronic scene, DJ/producer Qemist returns to Moveltraxx with The New Juke Tape, a genre-blurring EP that channels the frenetic energy of Chicago footwork while grounding it in the grit, swing, and soul of Memphis music. The result is a forward-thinking club record equally rooted in tradition and primed for underground dance floors featuring collaborations with Chicago footwork legend DJ Manny and Memphis singer Marcella Simien.

With a background spanning techno, jungle and heavy-hitting club experiments, Qemist has built a reputation as one of the South’s most exciting new electronic voices, lighting up stages from SXSW and Deep Tropics to D.C.’s Black Techno Matters. His productions have also landed on the Bay Area’s No Bias imprint and in Moveltraxx’s iconic Street Bangers Factory series.

Now, Qemist delivers his boldest project yet: The New Juke Tape, where hard-hitting club beats collide seamlessly with silky R&B textures, cementing his place as a one-to-watch innovator in the global club scene.

Info: For our next physical release, FERMA welcomes back home one of the individuals running the project, Romphea.

As a co-founder, he has long shaped the label’s uncompromising DIY ethos—placing experimentation, raw energy, and community at the heart of its vision. After releasing in a series of acclaimed platforms, the forward-thinking DJ and producer from Vyronas, Athens returns to vinyl with a genre-defying release. Building on the experimental pulse and reshaping the edge between electro, breaks and techno, Romphea continues that trajectory, weaving together tense polyrhythms, warped melodic fragments, and cavernous spaces.

This release features four, plus three digital bonus original tracks, aiming to provide a clear sound identity for the artist. The A-side opens with “Calls from Salem”, a dystopian slow burner that sets the tone with broken-beat percussion and dissonant synth stabs. “Steel Chair” surges forward with unrelenting force, propelled by serrated arpeggios and a barrage of fragmented vocals that rise and fall within the space, crafted for peak-time eruption.

Flipping to the B-side, “Paid Dividends” reaches full intensity, layering hammering kicks and percussion, while the low end rumbles with tectonic weight, amplifying the energy to fever pitch. Closing the record on a more contemplative note, “We Are The Universe” slows the pace, easing the tension and drifting into deeper territory. Echoing chords drift into space, layered with fragile percussive details and low, throbbing pulses. It’s a meditation on collapse and renewal, offering a moment of breath after the storm.

Extending beyond the physical record, this release comes with three extra digital exclusives. "Moonlighting" is another dancefloor stomper,
capturing the tension and guiding dancers into a space where time dissolves, while in "Keygen Music", the rhythm remains grounded, but it is softened by melodic fragments that swirl in and out like fleeting memories. The release closes with "The 286 Theory" as a fierce statement: a four-to-the-floor cut, with layers of percussion that drive the groove forward, bringing the record full circle.

Dev/Null and Tim Reaper bring a dark, grime-inspired drum & bass workout to the track, featuring razor-sharp breaks and a late-night urban atmosphere.
Liftin’ Spirits (aka Ant Miles of Origin Unknown), donning his Ironic pseudonym for the first time in many years, provides a rolling VIP that stays close to the original but elevates it.
Friske, one of the most enigmatic artists in drum & bass today, who has remained firmly under the radar despite collaborations with artists like Goldie, offers a reflective, refined rendition reminiscent of Subject 13 and Arctix.
In addition to the three remixes, Persuasion adds a new track, Marked, which rounds off the EP with fierce drums and the “Demon Poetry” sample that inspired the NTS Radio show of the same name.

This is a new subgenre that based on a combination of Atmospheric Drum & Bass and Breakcore.
"Dreambreak is heavy, often features prominent bass, and is often noticeably less clean and approachable than most modern atmo dnb and liquid dnb, but it also places an equal emphasis on atmosphere (often in the form of full-on ambient sections)" -- Duskfall.

Our compilation is not only about the melancholic side of the sound, which is characteristic of this style, but rather - the light and nature side.
