33 - Help For Cutting Back Or Stopping Drinking Alcohol

It’s the end of January. Time to check in to see how you’ve been doing with the goals you set for the new year.

First, make a list of what you did accomplish in January. 
Next, make a list of what you didn't do and why. Maybe you didn't have a compelling reason to do it; maybe you quit because you didn’t see results; maybe you got overwhelmed; maybe you don't have a good support system. 
Look at your results as data only. Your brain will want to attach meaning to why you did or didn't do something - that will not serve you. Instead, look at it with compassion and curiosity.

Wanting things to be different than they are results in frustration.
We often try to be positive about something we think is negative in an attempt to make us feel better. That doesn’t really work. 

In today’s episode we dig in to what it means to accept things as they are, allow our negative emotions, & tell ourselves it’s ok to feel upset/mad/frustrated. Can you keep believing you'll accomplish your goal even when you don't have any evidence what you've been doing is working? This could be the key to your success!

So many people give up on their goals because they don’t see the progress they’re looking for, in the time they want. But, if they had looked a little harder they would have seen that they were in fact making progress. And, the achievement was just going to take a little longer than they thought.
