Hailing from Santander, our next release is signed by Yenk, a DJ and producer who runs Kinki Pride, Spanish first 100% Ghetto House label. Yenk’s beats are based on vintage drum breaks, fat basslines and 90's styled leads which clearly gives us clues about his Hip-Hop roots. He also makes an outstanding vocal use mixing spanish latino vocals and excellent old-school samples.
With releases in well-known label such as Sincopat, Baumhaus or Simma Black, Yenk's unique style gives us as result great dancefloors gems like this ‘D.U.R.O.’ EP. Opening track ‘Nava Hero’ it’s a great example of Yenk’s essence, the m1 organ makes a catchy pattern while the beat is based on a 909 driven drum which is easily recognizable since its very first beats, a rough vocal is added giving a ghetto touch on the breakdowns. Next up, ‘D.U.R.O.’ as its name says (means tough in spanish), makes an excellent use of saturated 909-drum beats and tuned percussion that plays an infectious groove.

Directo desde Santander, nuestro próximo lanzamiento viene firmado por Yenk, DJ y productor que dirige Kinki Pride, primer sello español 100% Ghetto House. Los ritmos de Yenk se basan en ritmos de batería antiguos, líneas de bajo gruesas y sintetizadores muy de los 90 que claramente nos dan pistas sobre sus raíces Hip-Hop. También es de mención el uso vocal del que se vale Yenk para poner en el mercado piezas totalmente atemporales donde mezcla voces latinas en castellano y excelentes samples de la vieja escuela.
Con lanzamientos en sellos conocidos como Sincopat, Baumhaus o Simma Black, el estilo único de Yenk nos da como resultado grandes gemas este “D.U.R.O.". El EP comienza con 'Nava Hero’, un gran ejemplo de la esencia de Yenk. El clásico órgano M1 crea un patrón pegadizo mientras que el beat se cimienta sobre una 909 fácilmente reconocible desde sus primeros ritmos. A este se agrega una voz que le da un toque ghetto en las paradas. A continuación, ‘D.U.R.O.’ como su nombre lo indica, es algo bien duro donde un excelente uso de la 909 y la percusión afinada juegan un ritmo infeccioso.
