Volume 5 of the ever popular series of compilations from NICE UP! and it's another round up of the labels action over the last year or so, with big singles from Seanie T & Roots Manuva, Origin One, Mr Benn and Preacha alongside vocalists such as Rider Shafique, Parly B and Gardna with tracks spanning hip hop, reggae, dancehall, drum & bass, jungle and more!

As always there are some brand new and exclusive remixes included, most of which are previously unreleased. First up, US duo Folding City get busy with Origin One and Irah's huge "My Yout" twisting it into a darker grime/dancehall hybrid. Greek jungle badboy goes hard on Escape Roots "One Step At A Time" with a half time DnB recharge, whilst Numa Crew associate T-Kay turns up the heat even more on Mr Benn and Parly B's "Heat Up". More jungle comes in the shape of Conrad Subs massive remix of Sub Alpine & Natty Campbell's "Bubblin" - a tune that has been road tested at festivals all summer to devastating effect, while Swiss mash up don Max Rubadub gives Seanie T and Serocee's huge "Blaze Fire Bun" a heavy reggae refix. Of course, Dubblestandart have been keeping a version of the dub flame alive for the last two decades. Formed in 1988 as a reaction to the stagnant Austrian pop scene, the group was heavily inspired by the Black Ark, On-U Sound and Jah Shaka, infusing such dub influences within their heady blend of hardcore reggae and new wave, which soon brought them into the European public’s consciousness and as a kind of  „European“ version of the famous DUB SYNDICATE.  Soon, they were so in demand as to be backing Lee Scratch Perry, dub poet Lilian Allen, Dillinger, Ari Up, Ken Boothe, Marcia Griffiths, Chezere and orthers. 

Well,  Austria´s / Viennas´s finest moments in dub working and collaborating with the new technological dimension of modern dub : Paolo Baldini from Italy. 
Baldini´s stunning excursion into deep dub, chilling dub and dubble-tough dub will reach the DubFiles into perfection @ DUB ME CRAZY. 
	Paolo Baldini’s handling of this mission has been exemplary: his production and remixing skills are pleasingly individualistic, retaining plenty of originality and professionalism without seeming stoic, dull or contrived. His collaborations with Mellow Mood, Hempress Sativa, Dub Fx and others are showing faith of what DUB is living for. Since 2007 Paolo Baldini works under the top level name „Alambic Conspiracy“ and became world class dub extraordinary performer, bass player, mixologist, producer and provocateur...!

This week my guest is Steve Jah Warrior. Jah Warrior will be known to many for his classic releases in the 1990s, working with legends like Prince Allah and Horace Andy , but Jah Warrior was active long before these records came out, and in this interview he talks about attending sound system dances in the 1970s and 80s, about building his sound system as well as tales of being at the forefront of things we now take for granted, like internet record shopping.
