Since the birth of hip-hop there has been a multitude of great artists. Infusing voices with raw power to the mic over the resonance of powerful beats. Being blessed to witness the ever evolving sound of the generations. In my opinion something was lost in translation. We went from fighting the powers that be. To a dead poet society. Where the power of our youths voices are being silenced by a culture of negative choices. I remember rap battles where we all had fun.
Nowadays it’s bout the ops gettin popped by the gun. Hip-hop needs to be better, as rap artists we all need to be better examples for the next generation of poets to bless the mic. I’m just one man trying to do my part an I know I’m not alone in this fight.
