"Sketches" is a little collection of three jazz-inspired shorts, as I experiment beyond my home-genres of classical music and drum 'n' bass. The opening track "Negentropy" begins chaotically with two competing ideas, drawing closer together as the track progresses. The second track "Paper Windmill" is in a groovy 7/8 time signature but remaining relaxed throughout, featuring a soothing mono-synth solo inspired by my friend Tim Lallemant. And closing the short trio is the track "Greenside Rd.", depicting the summer-heat of my precious evening walks in and around where I used to live, leading me to a peaceful bench in the Church garden nearby.

You've Been on My Mind
A groovy low fi cut laced with haunting vocals and subtle guitar parts lending itself to producer Finlay Vallance’s live music beginnings. The song climaxes with a slinky brass section and doesn’t out stay it’s welcome.

Ulitsa Pirin
More laid back than the first of the two ‘Lidgett Towers’ tracks, Ulitsa Pirin opens with sleepy sirens and sways gently. Synths take precedent in this one, engulfing the listener as a strong percussion section pushes the beat onwards. Structurally very thoughtful, layers tend to arrive and leave at the perfect time, making for an exciting listen.
