Here’s the recording and track-list for October’s ‘Voyage de Lux’ radio show, as usual cobbled together from recent acquisitions and a few older bits from the shelves.
Some tracks of note featured worth a mention - the intro, which is a stunning track from Aboutface’s wonderfully titled ‘The Water That Glows Like Dancing Glass Cuts Crimson’ mini-LP, Barker’s excellent deep take on P.A.S. , a lesser spotted Plaid remix, seminal lushness from Mike Golding of B12 notoriety, a cut from E.R.P.’s recent buy-on-sight EP on Apnea, the sexy swing of Adam Curtain’s Garage-esque ‘Noticed’, 2 cuts from Endrew’s essential new EP on Upfront Copy, a Techno-funk classic from the Central boys , 2 cuts from Gerd’s brilliant new ‘Kosmos Tour’ 6-tracker, an oldie-but-goldie from Justin Berkovi, a lovely 90s latin tinged groover from Quazar, and finishing up with mesmerising broken deepness from Function’s latest release on Infastructure.

As 1/3 of the Eora/ Sydney-based collective, Translate, Sufar’s passion for sonic frequencies spreads wide, curating a podcast series and events via Transitions, building beautifully hand-crafted sound systems and studio monitors via Translate Sound, and DJing across Eora/ Sydney’s underground music scene.

In this mix, Sufar draws us into a deeply emotive, psychedelic listening session which he describes as, “a collection of tracks to help clear my mind, and maybe yours too”.
