Bates Motel - Along The Edge Of Time (alternate mix 1992)

Bates Motel's "Rabble Rousing demo" was named as such due to Tom of Furnace Face's description of the band as "those infamous rabble rousers." After a gig poster was deemed offensive by some in the Ottawa community, Bates Motel had solidified their reputation in Ottawa as bona fide outsiders. In the hope of getting gigs with a local promoter, the Rabble Rousing demo was recorded on an 8-track. Things with the promoter went nowhere but we did manage to record some really fun songs, "Submarine Crawl" being one of the best.

Strange Celebration

Ligeia (CAN) - Strange Celebration (1986 demo cassette remaster)

1986 - Original Annihilator members John Bates (vocals) and Dave Richer (bass) introduced this song to their new band Ligeia due to their past work on that song. Although Ligeia was not happy with the mix of this demo (master tapes were never found), they were happy with the music. Excellent restoration/remastering work by Michel Petulli of PMT Studio has compensated for the muddy mix and deteriorated source cassette as much as possible.

Ligeia (CAN)- Alison Hell (1986 demo cassette remaster)

Opening track of the Canadian Ligeia's 1986 demo cassette. Approximately first minute of the tape is semi-demagnetized, making for some pretty rough audio quality. Great restoration and mastering work was done by Michel Petulli of PMT Studio, making it as listenable as it can be today.
