Zhi - Vago - Celebrate (ACOR HT Rework) *BONUS TRACK* [SINDEX019]

Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano have come together to serve up a very personal remix of the hugely influential self-titled classic by Age Of Love. It lands on the original Belgian label Diki Records on August 13th.

Age Of Love wrote and released their most iconic track in 1990. It went on to become a stone-cold dance classic that inspired a whole trance movement that has endured throughout the years. 

The idea to remix 'Age Of Love' started taking shape when KNTXT boss Charlotte was in lockdown with esteemed Italian techno artist Enrico at the end of February last year. As soon as the track was finished, it was played in several live streams and the online community quickly fell in love. The remix bears all the hallmarks of both producers, who between them have a number of Beatport hits and have crafted everything from the darkest drums to the most emotional synths to great effect.

Say Charlotte and Enrico, "It's a very meaningful track for both of us, for various reasons, and it brings back many joyful memories. Remixing such a legendary track was a super fun thing to do, but we noticed how easily and spontaneously we could work together in the studio. We are beyond excited to finally unleash our remix to the world. And this at a time where the world finally seems to be going back to normal. There is no better time for a New Age Of Love. We're ready."

'Age Of Love' (Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano Remix) is a big, driving techno roller. It has heavyweight drums and stripped back percussion which leaves plenty of room for the ionic synth lead and spine-tingling vocals to ring out and really work the crowd into a trance. 

This fantastic remix brings a new perspective to one of dance music's most celebrated and influential tracks.

La referencia 033 de Florida Music nos trae a la mente detrás del propio sello, Andrés Campo, con un EP de nombre ‘Numbers’ de cuatro tracks. Los enigmáticos títulos de cada tema son eso: números. ‘091 (Original Mix)’, ‘136 (Original Mix)’, ‘013 (Original Mix)’ y ‘006 (Original Mix)’ son los temas que componen este corto-no-tan-corto, que en líneas generales es intensamente percusivo, potente y muy físico, con toques atmosféricos y una clara progresión narrativa. Las melodías aparecen más hacia mitad del trabajo, pero acaba con la misma intensidad que al principio. Abriendo el EP tenemos ‘091 (Original Mix)’, un track con una percusión potente y suelta desde el comienzo, con unos interesantes sonidos metálicos y acuosos que acompañan el track hasta el final y que nos recuerdan al agobiante entorno de un submarino. Una bomba pistera en toda regla. Luego nos encontramos con ‘136 (Original Mix)’, un track que continúa la estela de ‘091’, comenzando con intensidad y un ritmo muy marcado, para luego dar paso toques atmosféricos y una línea de sintetizador marciana y ácida, y efectos metálicos parecidos en sensaciones a los del track que le precede. Diseñada para freír el cerebro… y las zapatillas. ‘136’ da paso a ‘013 (Original Mix)’, que tiene una percusión más apretada, de las que pegan al pecho, con aire más minimalista y toques melódicos y atmosféricos más marcados, que se van transformando a medida que progresa el track, convirtiéndose en una angustiosa melodía que acaba en una orgía sonora matemática y minimalista. Finalmente, cerrando este EP se encuentra ‘006 (Original Mix)’, que empieza más suave, pero que pronto empieza a destaparse como una genial combinación de efectos, percusión y melodías de sintetizador alienígenas, acompañado todo por esos sonidos metálicos y acuosos que recorren este trabajo con sutileza del primer al último tema. Todo con un tratamiento de las teclas impecable por parte de Andrés Campo. En resumen, otro completísimo trabajo por parte del jefe de Florida Music.

Since his early beginnings into Los Angeles Techno scene in 2012, Modus has quickly elevated his position as one of the most promising techno prospects both in and out of the studio. His most recent release, "Purge Your System" further cements his role as a key catalyst in the scene’s development as Modus drops a full impact 4 tracker on his first release on Lee K’s Circulate. 

Featuring a musical portrait of club driven selections perfect for peak time moments, "Purge Your System" was designed to help encourage listeners to “cleanse the soul of today’s calamity that we call life and let music release a person from their daily bounds” 

"Sync That 303" leads the journey showcasing powerful and bass heavy work complemented by dancing hi hats and tingling synth lines that drive forward momentum while "Drive Me Higher" features a ferocious kick drum that carries the tune’s chopped vocal samples and crunchy synths through 7 minutes of prime time. "It Doesn’t Matter" rounds out the EP with layers of syncopation and pulsing synths over Modus’ signature heavy rolling drums. The track also gets a remix feature and support from Stephen Disario, who’s interpretation produces a refined club weapon that sports a pulsating, dark and hypnotic groove. 

"Purge Your System" represents a quintessential snapshot of an artist’s life where if the music if indicative of anything, Modus relentless pursuit of the techno soundscape will only continue to be one to watch and enjoy as he continues to create and innovate. As best put, “I made this album to purge myself of the fear I’ve had to release music. I feel myself coming into my own and really developing my style into what I want it to be.
