Recording a mix at home is a struggle for me. No beautiful dancers, no lights and no energy exchange can be a hindrance. I’m so thankful this moment was captured live to share with all of you. One deficit all artists have is developing their craft in front of the public eye (and ears). Being a recovering perfectionist also adds to the struggle. Everything you do is analyzed and judged. With a live mix there’s no take 2 and no do-overs. You’re completely naked and vulnerable. I’m slowly learning to welcome the flaws in the things I create and embrace the process.
I hope this set stirs something  inside of you as it did with me when it was recorded. It’s full of all of my favorite things in music and I hope it finds you tapping your foot or shaking your backside.

March FEVER was also special because for the first time we partnered with local artist, Ron Abram for the ad design and now mix cover art. The illustration shown is entitled Detail, Wrangler Series of Etchings, 2023. You’ll be seeing more of Ron’s work with future collabs. Until then follow him on IG @abramgrafiks.

"For the mix, I was inspired by a world in which improvements in human-computer interface technologies evolve to keep pace with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. Humans are able to upload their consciousness to private networks via pseudo-organic metamaterial brain implant devices, developed and distributed by a small group of quadrillionaires and their affiliated conglomerates. Subjectivity transfer between individual users from vessel to vessel within a network is possible (and popular!), and AI brain module installation has been productized, provided that the host legally waives a % of agency and control of their body to the auto-pilot network of their choice. Unsatisfied with planetary conditions, many are completely surrendering their vessels and opting for 100% takeover, leading to a growing population of artificially-guided human bodies."

Club Chow (he/they) is a Taiwanese-American DJ and queer rave enthusiast based in Chicago. An omnivorous selector, he blends tracks across genres and eras with an undercurrent of euphoric energy and playfulness. He expresses his range via DJ residencies at Berlin Nightclub, Steamworks Baths, Dim Sum and Drag, and his work as organizer/curator of the Forbidden Fruits day party at Easy Does It. Some words carry entire lifetimes within them. Usasrulod is one of them, a Georgian expression meaning “forever”: to love someone forever, to dance with them forever, to walk with them through eternity.
In their remix, ZEITREICH, the Austrian-born duo whose creative bond was forged under the magic skies of Ibiza, breathe new life into Ninshū’s original. Nark, aka Kevin Kauer, founder of Bottom Forty and Nark Magazine, has devoted his life to dance music and club culture. For the last decade, he's helped cultivate Seattle's queer community, running a kaleidoscope of above and underground nightlife events including party/political movement Dickslap, a series of annual alternative Pride festival weekends, and the programming at Q Nightclub where he served as resident and creative director. For GhostlyCast #81, Nark delivers a marathon mix that serves as an emotional release and celebrates a recent revelation. "This year was about realizing I'm already exactly where I want to be and surrounded by boundless talent and energy here in the Seattle scene," he says. "Over the years of traveling the world and playing all these cool parties and making new friends and colleagues, I've only to come to realize how hard it is for anyone to separate friendship from competition; it puts a heavy emotional toll on so many people in the scene that builds exponentially, and it can really bring you down. For me, making this mix was about representing myself exactly the way I feel, not up to anyone else's standard. It's about letting go of the things I thought I wanted to chase after and instead, being in the present with myself, our scene and the people around me who need and support me as much as I do them."
