"Philip Jeck’s work has been a longtime inspiration of mine," says more eaze. "The way he approached sampling felt like it was a love letter to music and sound itself. For this tribute mix, I wanted to present an array of the diverse sounds and styles that Jeck often filtered through his singular lens."

This episode is a tribute to the Ranking Miss P (Margaret Anderson), who was one of the first female Black DJs in UK Pirate radio who inspired many women and was a huge influence to reggae's development in Britain. After the pirate radio days, Miss P went on to work closely with the BBC over the years, as a radio host, and as collaborator on documentaries.

Rising to prominence in London's Black Rock Sound System, Ranking Ann began her recording career with 1982 single 'Liberated Woman'. Despite refusing to be pigeonholed as a 'feminist DJ', her work retained revolutionary themes throughout the 80s & beyond, working consistently with producer Mad Professor. In 1985 she publicly opposed the parliamentary act allowing the police wider powers to stop and search suspects, releasing the track 'Kill The Police Bill', and joining some of the UK’s leading pop stars on tour promoting socialist ideals.
