We are super excited to have Christos Antoniou a.k.a C. Da Afro on Dynamite Disco Club. With releases on labels such as Midnight Riot and Springbok records as well as a regular feature on Traxsource’s Top 100 Nu Disco Artists of the year, C. Da Afro's  “Rhythm Maker” is a deep yet dance floor friendly nu disco tune with a solid groove serving as it’s foundation. The classic house music style sampled piano serves as a main hook of the track while a haunting, yet sensual opera-like female vocals adds more character to a tune that is bustling full of retro - disco vibes we all love!

Using a little bit more FM synthesis. Exploring and learning new ways to create warm and spatial sounds, adding a layer of substractive synthesis. The creative process started playing live hardware. Finally, the sounds were arranged in Ableton and I added more layers from the same FM synthetizer.

Street Dance (Original Version 1984)

I create electronic music, specifically, my sound normally has a deep house basis with layers of cosmic and experimental features. 

The way I create my tracks consists in making the music live, using Ableton Live as an instrument and some hardware. Nowadays my setup has a RolandTR8s, which I use to make percussions and create sequences of samples, and Ableton Live 12, where the synths came from.  The Roland TR8s let me improvise a lot with the percussions and use some complex FM engines. Ableton brings me the possibility to create complex sounds and nice synths melodies. 

Everything is mixed in an EPM Soundcraft mixer.

I like to flow creating and playing music rather than just cutting and copying clips in an arrangement view.  However, a further edition and mastering is normally done to get the track ready for the public. Definitely, I like to dive into the music and create pieces that tell us a (cosmic, deep) story.
