KÖRNOAR (pronounced „Coeur Noir“ meaning „ Balck Heart“ in the sense of „Heart of a black man“), real name Hervé Tchouassi, is a German singer-songwriter, composer, audio-engineer and painter of Cameroonian origin currently based in Berlin.

He was born in Yaoundé-Cameroon and made his first experiences with music trough Hip-hop. A year later, he realized that he was having more fun in singing RnB and Soul than in rapping. For the kind of music he was passionate about, he had to leave his family and friends behind and travel to Europe at an early age.

After his arrival in Germany end of 2008, he decided to do everything possible to pursue his music career. That means attending beside normal school a musical school for a year. The summer that same year, he was chosen by a German TV (ZDF/3SAT) among many others from his musical school, to play the main role as “Romeo” in a modern comedy adaptation of Shakespeare’s „Romeo & Julia“ in a theater group, where he had to sing, act and dance. A year later he became part of a Choir in Berlin named INSPIRED! for a year. After finishing High School with a brilliant A-Level in Mathematics and Economy at the Lycee Français de Berlin, he received a Scholarship from the „Rosa-Luxemburg Foundation“ and decided to follow his dream of being an independent artist. So he applied and was admitted for Music Production Studies at private College in Berlin named SRH-HdpK (Hochschule der populären Künste - College of popular Arts). A Year before the end of his Studies in 2016 he decided to open his own Home-Studio and started composing, recording, mixing and mastering songs for a bunch of artists and groups such as KANA & MAVIE (Afro-German Hip-hop group) and STEVE MEKOUDJA (Cameroonian Peot and singer) under his own label named „Coeur Noir Prod.“.

A year after graduating from university and having gathered enough experiences as an Audio Ingenieur, and having developed a style around his voice and writing skills for more than 10 years, he decided to publish his first Ep called „COEUR NOIR VOL.1“ including 7 Tracks on August 16, 2019. Since the beginning of 2020, he already dropped 2 music videos: „SANS RAISON“ and „VOODOO“ on Youtube.

He now describes his music as a fusion of Afropop, RnB, Soul, Hip-hop, Trap Afro-Dancehall, Raggae, and Zouk in French and English. He is pretty excited to show the world what he has to offer in his upcoming projects already loading…
