This soundscape is dedicated to the travels of JWST as it observes the very faint infrared signals of very distant objects at a distance of 1.5 million kilometers (1 million miles) away from the Earth at what is called the second Lagrange point or L2.

The Milky Way Galaxy gets its name from a Greek myth about the goddess Hera who sprayed milk across the sky. In other parts of the world, our galaxy goes by other names. In China it’s called the “Silver River,” and in the Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa, it’s called the “Backbone of Night.” "Whispers of Wonderment" contributes to these, and other meanings that humans have attributed to the state of awe "outside the sphere" and shared amazement when gazing into the night sky. By meditating on the question "what is wonderment" this spiritual pathway can lead to one's initial awakening.

Dr. John Edgar (Reid) is a Meditative Spiritual Space Music Composer whose roots can be traced back to his study of music while attending DePaul University in Chicago. He majored in Trumpet while studying theory, composition and a rich repertoire of classical to modern 20th century music. His lifelong experiences in both vocal and instrumental performance have all heavily influenced his writing for the commercial and film industry using Studio One Professional and VST instrumentation.
