With the arrival of 8-track recording at Red’s All Red Studios in the late-2000s, it was only a matter of time before an album would take form in the hands of multi-instrumentalists Triple R and Jazz Jacket. Inspiration flowed like petroleum as the concept developed - five blazing rockers about methods of transport and four free-jazz interludes, alternating tales of life on the road to carry the listener away with space for reflection and personal growth. Recording and mixing started immediately and continued for some years thence before the official formation of Yamato & Thunder Child in 2022, and the ceremonious launch of the good ship '...and Roll' in 2023.
