Breve musica per Archi, Oboe e Flauto, da me composta nel giorno di Pasqua 2022, per la tristezza presente nel profondo della mia anima per gli assassinati in guerra nel giorno della Risurrezione del Signore: con Lui mi sono un po' lamentato, poi il lamento è diventato preghiera e infine ho ritrovato la speranza della pace.

This dance, whose composition was completed on 12 June 2022, expresses the joy and satisfaction of the first public life release of the Choir "I Cantori di Maria" (The Maria's Singers) after two years of inactivity due to the pandemic from covid. In the last week of May a "HOMAGE TO MARY HOLY" was presented to the two communities of Arienzo and Santa Maria a Vico in the province of Caserta (Italy). On the program: some Marian songs and the famous Marian hymn AKATHISTOS.

Questa danza, la cui composizione è stata completata il 12 giugno 2022, esprime la gioia e la soddisfazione per la prima uscita a vita pubblica del Coro "I Cantori di Maria" (The Maria's Singers) dopo due anni di inattività a causa della pandemia da covid.
Nell'ultima settimana di maggio è stato presentato un "OMAGGIO A MARIA SANTISSIMA" alle due comunità di Arienzo e Santa Maria a Vico in provincia di Caserta (Italia).
In programma: alcuni Canti Mariani e il famoso inno mariano AKATHISTOS

The fugue has as its subject a succession of seven chords rotating around two successive notes held for a few bars, as in the figure illustrating the piece.
The counter-subject changes from time to time, contravening the strictest rules.

La fuga è stata completata il 30 settembre 2022.
La fuga ha come soggetto una successione di sette accordi rotanti intorno a due note successive tenute per alcune battute, come nella figura che illustra il brano.
Il controsoggetto cambia di volta in volta, contravvenendo alle regole più ferree.

Imagine swimming in a rushing river and letting yourself be carried by the current, with sudden changes in speed and areas of relative calm. Near a waterfall you are then forced to go against the current, your speed decreases and you have to force yourself to swim to escape the waterfall.
It is an allegory of the risk you run by letting yourself be dragged through life by the common trend and, if you realize the abyss, you have to work hard to change the way you live to escape the impending ruin and reach salvation.
Immagina di nuotare in un fiume impetuoso e lasciarti trascinare dalla corrente, con cambi improvvisi della velocità e zone di relativa calma. Nei pressi di una cascata sei poi costretto ad andare controcorrente, la tua velocità diminuisce e devi forzare il nuoto per sfuggire alla cascata.
È una allegoria del rischio che corri lasciandoti trascinare nella vita dall’andazzo comune e, se ti accorgi del baratro, devi faticare non poco per cambiare il modo di vivere per sfuggire alla rovina incombente e approdare alla salvezza.

I'm Antonio Porrino, for all Tonino.
Graduated in Physics in March 1979, I was Researcher in Theoretical Nuclear Physics at the "Federico II" University of Naples until November 2019.
I studied music, initially at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Maiella in Naples and then self-taught piano, organ and composition.
I have been married to Anna since July 1982 and we have 5 children, Fabio, Luca, Francesca, Cecilia, Vincenzo and 2 grandchildren, Antonio and Sofia, Fabio's children, married to Sara.
I founded the polyphonic choir "Vicus Novanensis" in 1992 and in 2019 "I Cantori di Maria", which have collected the legacy of the numerous "long distance adoptions" of the previous choir.
The musical activity takes place mainly at the "Pontifical Minor Basilica of Maria Santissima Assunta" in Santa Maria a Vico (Italy).
I have composed music of various genres.
My music would like to express and transmit feelings of peace, serenity and joy, contrasting those of war, hatred and oppression that seem to prevail on planet Earth, causing the degradation of the natural environment that guards us.

Laureato in Fisica nel marzo 1979, sono stato Ricercatore di Fisica Nucleare Teorica presso l'Università "Federico II" di Napoli fino a novembre 2019. 
Ho studiato Musica, inizialmente presso il Conservatorio di San Pietro a Maiella di Napoli e poi pianoforte, organo e composizione da autodidatta.

L'attività musicale si svolge prevalentemente presso la "Basilica Pontificia Minore di Maria Santissima Assunta" di Santa Maria a Vico (Italy). 
Ho composto brani musicali di vario genere. 
La mia musica vorrebbe esprimere e trasmettere sentimenti di pace, di serenità e di gioia, contrastando quelli di guerra, odio e sopraffazione che sembrano prevalere sul pianeta Terra, provocando la degradazione dell'ambiente naturale che ci custodisce.
