I made this whole thing from memory of the original song by Cherrelle starting with the rhythm, gated drums, brass, and then bass. I used a few layers of an 808 and then used mostly the Roland D50 and the 1080 for the main instruments. Vocals were doubled with seperate takes to give it that typical 80s sound. Enjoy!
