The days I lived in Dallas were very dark for me.  Dallas is where my mom died.  My family died as well during that time.  When I moved to Austin, I loaded up my truck one weekend in July and simply left.  Best move I ever made.

Yeah, I really did go to Mexico and met an Indian gal.  Indian as in Mayan.  Central Mexico (the Yucatan) is predominantly of Mayan decent and the people do have a look about them.  Player this song for Jet when Ling was pregnant with him in hopes that it would resonate with him when he was born.  I'm not sure my experiment worked.

My power ballad.  I was in sales for most of my vocational life.  Once when my sales were sagging badly, I was called in to the boss who let me know I have 24 hours to turn my numbers around.  There's a line in this song about that.  One example of the gross stupidity of the corporate world.
