KTAR6 (@steven-minotti) is the curator of TAPETUM LUCIDUM, their residency on Marseille’s @ola_radio | They are a DJ who delivers hardcore sets of pummelling feeling, oscillating between a sense of mystical elevation and sepulchral debasement. Drawing from influences in industrial-rap and cinematic aesthetics, their sound is always interwoven with, and marked by, a strong visual narrative. They supercharge each emotion they portray via acute track selection and the evocative sound and lyrics therein.

KTAR6’s mix continues their work with TAPETUM LUCIDUM, discovering month after month the new shapes and contours of an ever-evolving deconstructed club. Their mix documents the sound as such, evincing the chthonic low-end bleats, perfervid polyrhythms and musical intertextuality, illustrated by the mix’s glints of hardcore, baile funk and trap, as well as post-club’s omnivorous vocal reapporpriations. A mix of equal parts ascendant emotionality and guttural percussion, KTAR6’s mix is a further entry in the DJ’s delimitation of one of the most creative and voracious contemporary musics.
