My newest anual Signature mix is out now!

A new chapter, a new story, a new me. Signature represents the music that makes me me. Every year around my birthday I mix a set of music that makes me happy, lifts my spirit and gives me energy everyday. It tells a story about who I am.

This year's mix has a quite different message and story. It tells the story of how I lost myself, and how I found myself back on a long road. This year's Signature mix contains the music that made me feel me again, and what helped me feeling better in times i needed it. Life has ups and downs, sometimes bigger than you expect. I struggled with myself, didn't feel the way I used to be. You can pretend to be perfect, but perfection doesnt exist. I took my mask off, confronted my shortcomings and accepted that I wasn't who I once was. I accepted I was a broken man. I started listening to these tracks while I learned to move on with myself, put the past behind me and feel again.

I learned how important mental health can be for people. Fear can put people in wrong directions, causing them to become vunerable for other things. Getting easily irritated, stress, trouble sleeping, and so on. Now I know how important it is to be aware of how people feel. Everyone has shortcomings but dont want to bother anyone with it. Thats why people pretend to be okay while they're not. It's hard to take that mask off, but once you do there's a way out. I'd like to point out that mental health awareness is so much more important than you can realise.

I played a set live at Tropical Party 2023! My good friends from Hybrid Lights invited me to play a 2 hour set for their party! I used a lot of themes taken from the A State Of Trance 2023 album, and also included several house, progressive trance and EDM tracks! Enjoy!

I lately got into the classics! With the inspiration done at A State Of Trance's 20th birthday, diving into timeless tracks, I came with the idea to make this set. This is my very first set of classic trance tracks and I really had to get used to it! I added modern remixes of timeless tracks and original mixes! Have to say the choice was hard. If I'd had to put in all timeless gems I would've been mixing for a week at least! Enjoy it!

ASOT 2024 is here!

A State of Trance has been a HUGE inspiration for my live sets and my sets for Soundcloud! I'm a huge fan of the radio show and you can always find me at the festival! This year's edition is the biggest ever, as 2 nights and 2 days are full of of events around the new destination: Rotterdam! During Signature ’23 and after, I’ve spent a lot of time wondering about my identity as a DJ. Signature ’23 represented me, in any way, with the music that I love and share with you. It answered the question who I am.  We’re stepping back from the Multiverse of Music for now, and moving forward to a new theme. As I’m a world traveler, and my expertise is within ecology, I like to share a big and personal theme for this year’s Signature mixes. A theme that truly shows you my identity. I’ve been rather busy exploring the coolest locations. One in particular is the jungle in Suriname, where I witnessed many amazing species and great biodiversity. I’m a big herpethology enthusiast, and I love going out to find the coolest species in the world’s most biodiverse place. The vastness of the rainforest, its endless different sounds and my experience with it created the new theme for Signature ’24: The Sound of the Rainforest!  

I once again created 3 mixes with a wide selection of tracks, created by the best DJ's and producers in the world. 3 different versions of my Signature, all dedicated to the rainforest and its inhabitants.  

This is Mix 3: the jaguar, the majestic top predator of the rainforest that is not afraid of anything. That is exactly what this mix will be about: not afraid to go rough and violent. This mix will involve uplifting trance and other banging tracks.  

Signature ’24 will be an ode to the rainforest, to my experience and will tell another tale about my identity as a DJ. I hope you like it!

This is Mix 2: the Toucan, a species of bird overlooking the forest from high canopy, able to hear all the sounds of the forest’s inhabitants, and even producing its very own to be loud and clearly heard. Mix 2 will have more of this all-round music, but will also cover some techno I've discovered over the last few months.

The Multiverse of Music | Episode 4 (FROGR Showcase Special)

Orbyte discovered electronic music back in 2018, admiring big names such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and David Guetta. Back then he started playing the decks before his friends, and a year later his very first time before the public!

Orignating from the area of Utrecht, the Netherlands, Orbyte dedicated his sets to the sounds of trance, as he enjoyed classical euphoric music as a kid. From small closed events then, he kept going with his passion for music, creating mixes over and over. It has resulted in his Signature compilation mixes where he celebrates his birthday with in a different theme every year. In 2024 he started his radio show called The Multiverse of Music, where he showcases his musical library, invites guests for a mix and shares his inspirations. In that same year he also discovered the love for techno.
