My solo cover of the song 'The Gypsy Rover', or 'The Whistling Gypsy', something I've played on ukulele for a little while and often with Fiona on fiddle at a pub session. On this version all instruments, vocals and production are by myself.

A remix of a recording by StreetLife. I wrote the song after a summers day walk in the countryside near my home. The walk took in a disused railway viaduct on the outskirts of the town where I live. The song tells some of the story of the viaduct and it's builder George Hudson (aka 'The Railway King') and the ancient River Wharfe that the viaduct crosses.

The River Always Flows [AT remaster]

A remix of the StreetLife recording. I wrote the lyrics of this song during an online conversation with Hal, a ukulele bluesman who I had met in Australia, as he was riding a long distance train in Canada! Tune added later.

Fiona and I have been playing this lovely John Denver song together for a good while now, so we thought it was high time that we made a proper recording of us performing it. Our version of a lovely middle period Beatles song. Really pleased with how it has come out, especially how well the sitar has blended with Fiona's fiddle to create a hybrid sound. We like it, hope you do too!

A new version of our first recording together featuring re-recorded vocals. Also re-mixed and re-mastered.

We both really love this early ‘30s song. We enjoy playing it together at a local pub session a lot, so we decided to record ourselves performing it properly. It’s in the style of Paul McCartney’s version, featuring Fiona’s gorgeous fiddle part with Alan on vocals, ukuleles and some keyboard bits and bobs.

It's Only A Paper Moon [new version]

Remixed and remastered following the recent passing of Marianne Faithfull. Our arrangement and performance is more in line with her 1987 revisiting of her 1964 hit with this song. Originally written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones and Andrew Loog Oldham.

My attempt at creating a piece based entirely on GarageBand Loops with my iPad. This one has a distinctly Indian style but makes use of reverse vocal loops as well.

Hi, I’m Alan T from North Yorkshire, UK. I enjoy creating music with ukuleles (four, five, eight and ten string'ers), a bit of keyboard and singing. I make music solo and with Fiona as part of our duo ‘Al~Fi’. She adds her tremendous talent on fiddle mainly, but also mandolin from time to time. I produce music using GarageBand.
