“Utopian Suicide” is a one man band, making low budget experimental music. Starting on July, 4th, 2023, after being kicked out of his home, Josh started living in his car, where he did for five months, sleeping under bridges, in parking lots, and in garages, he couldn’t play guitar, but his guitar was with him the entire time, which only brought them closer together. He then moved into an apartment complex for a year. This is where he started recording, and making songs, such as “washing machine feedback,” a five minute track of washing machine noises and distorted guitar strumming. He became addicted. 


He then recorded “My Reference,” consisting of a sampled voicemail he acquired from an old friend.￼
“It’s kind of an introduction to my music with a past reference tied into it. it was my first song technically.” 



this song sparked the album “Away for now.” As a homemade track left untouched and unknown by humanity. “it was made to be a failure of an album, to be raw and what it is, a showcase into improvement and an ode to it.” Some of the earlier songs are left unlistenable, while others sprinkled in show a glimpse into that improvement. Mainly restricted by poor audio quality.



One morning his car didn’t start, he was going to be fired from his job, he took it upon himself to quit. This was nearing the end of recording “away for now.” He felt like a failure, only clinging onto creating garbage, he then recorded the last song on the track. “Family Coffin” a blatant acknowledgment of failure, and of time burning away leaving him what everyone knows him to be, untelented, lazy, negative, and hypocritical.

“Im currently working on a new album in plans to take a new artistic direction. A slightly more pampered and fully constructed take on the sound in my head. I’m planning on getting some people to join me on my next album, this next one’s going to be quite different”
