A track about a medieval like gathering to celebrate-discuss the couple's introductories, their arranged Royal Affair! The setting in my head, a high society pre-official-celebration event that takes place in the grand castle hall where the noble guests of honour attend the glamorous occasion fit for the chosen King and Queen yet to be!  They can say no if they wish so keep your fingers crossed for good luck as the families & related ties meet & greet highlighting the desirable qualities of each! The serious tone discussions linger about until progress is made, a final decision awaiting. So let us now politely curtsey, bow, fan, smile, hold the stance-stare-glare fixated! More trumpets now please! We so need the hype-vibe pumped up to make this vital connection go green! 

Keeping up with the obligatory motions is the name of this game...mode of course, diamonds and pearls, ornate embroidered design style...divine perfection creatures of the flirting-fine kind...good looks adorned in eye catching draping ruffling-puffing satins and velvety masculine jacket-suit-tail attire, embellished with piercing heavy metallics...to go on to say that all of this razzle-dazzle extraviganza to be accompanied with rustic wine goblets & rich colourful dine, circular dance activity, snotty chit-chat whispers and back stabbing schemes, the music picture mood of an ancient world what I'm trying to convey in a modern poppy way...not sure if I did exactly that or not...using just an Arturia Micro Brute Synth to sound something like an Indian Wooden Acoustic Harmonium or a Bag-Pipe was the challenge fun for me...to rather use, soley the synth and not my harmonium or *Bag-Pipe which I don't even play or own...to try and get the essence medieval feel somehow to shine through...Hmn, maybe yes? Maybe no? Not sure? Ponder over that notion...Hope you will enjoy this perhaps exciting number, REKHA XOXOXO

After a considerable amount of time, my old friend Simone (Mome) and I had the chance to record a piece of music together: a short unplugged ballad, a cover of a great classic by CS&N that we tried to render as finely as we could, adding a bit of an unconventional Middle-Eastern flavor. Heartfelt thanks to Mome for adding his awesome acoustic bass part on a couple of guitar tracks I'd recorded before leaving Tunisia. Only recently I had the chance to complete the song with vocals and a few bağlama licks, so... That's it, in hope it won't break anyone's ears. I should add that in fact Stephen Stills wrote this tune, but since the other two guys crucially contributed to its composition with their superb vocal harmonies, I thought it was right to mention the three of them as co-authors. Since we started playing together, about 36 years ago, we'd never covered anything by CSN, so I guess it was about time.
I warn you: despite of its partially exotic vibe, this one definitely sounds way more "traditional" than usual, and I must confess that it was in first place a way to try out my new mic and home studio setup, and a nice chance to jam with one of my best friends ever.
I went through quite a lot of changes these last months... I apologize to everyone because I haven't been around for a while, and I sincerely thank every friend who found the time to drop a line or listen to the stuff I put here. I'll try to reply to your comments and messages as soon as possible, and hopefully I'll have the chance to be more active in future, with new releases and reposts. I still have plenty of strange sounds hanging inside my brain, that's for sure.

U-Intermezzo

Hey…. I sleep like an old dog now that I am old. Although I wonder if I move my feet when I run in my dreams. And I did bark at the neighbor’s dog the other night. She was being noisy, so I joined in. Ha. Starlings are up in the old cottonwood now serenading the world, as the heat of the day is not yet upon us. But by midday they are usually gone. The heat is too intense. I think they head to the river to ride out the day. Maybe I should join them, like in the old days. Hanging down by the river, swimming and cooling off. I told a neighbor the other day, if he finds his political bumper sticker is inappropriately graffitied, it will be me who did it. Ha. And here I thought we were all in this together… how naive of me. Hee-hee. So back to the dreamlife of dogs… as with night and day, a lot of life can become an either or premise don’t ya think? I was always one to explore a middle ground by melding various ideologies together. Then I decided to become free of that paradigm view of life, and maybe see things as they were. Fascinatingly sad how polarized our species is, on practically everything that matters, and how unwilling we are to budge. So I wondered about that insofar as extricating myself from such nonsense, without that becoming just another polarized pursuit. As if you can’t tell by now, I am a dreamer. That does have its downside as there is a darker essence to all this babbling, as the song lyrics suggest, when the light becomes the dark. OK… the starlings just left for the river en mass. Ha ha. I have pondered about the relevance of dreams in my life for many years. But I wonder how relevant the rhyming of ‘stream’ with ‘dream’ was in ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat… as possibly a revelation into the nature of life? Or in some songs, rhyming is just a convenience of circumstance. Ha…. Are we really rowing ourselves gently along through our lives, in a daydreamy way of how we’d like to see the world? Or frantically chasing a dream on a flooded river, as we lose control of our leaky boat? Or maybe a little bit of both? Or maybe jumping ship to swim to shore? Maybe there is no boat at all? Or maybe we're landlubbers? Hope you like the song. And thanks for dropping by, Mark

Gargyzaa is a one-man band located in Espoo, Finland.
 I play all the instruments manually (guitars, keyboards, bass, plastic  didgeridoo, Korg monotron duo, fipple flute etc.) and sing all the vocals. Plus I have written these lyrics and peculiar poetry/ bizarre dialogues you hear (in Finnish&English).
Some people have asked me who plays the instruments and I have answered them several times that it´s me who is responsible for all this trippy noise and musical weirdness.
It has been quite tedious and more or less irritating to explain this relatively often, hahaha.
I´m a also a self taught "musician" and "vocalist". I play by ear.
The drum parts are made from short loops with Audacity and then the so called rhythm track is upoaded to my Zoom R-24. After that I will start recording the instruments/vocals on top.
I don´t have or play drums. Well, maybe one day.
So basically I use Zoom R-24 to record and even master these tracks. I bring the finished "product" to SoundCloud through Audacity.
My equipment is very amateurish, cheap and in some cases semi-broken. 
I use those infamous progressive rock structures, but deliver them with a punk rock attitude/gear, hehehe.
The cover art/design is just basically a few collages/paste-ups, psychedelically distorted&enhanced pics and a couple of random photos I took. Nothing special.
This is a non-profit project. Enjoy!
