Kauz of Affliction's opening track and first single, "Glasgow Smile" is about the practice of cutting the face to form a smile, which is said to have originated in Scotland. Featuring Vocalists Erik and Justine back and forth lead vocals, a huge chorus, and a blistering solo.

Track 8 on Kauz of Affliction's "Soultaker" release is "Power Struggle", a song clearly written in jest about standard metal subject matter like dragons, swords, and the eternal battle to save Planet Earth.

Kauz of Affliction (or K.O.A. as they're often referred to) is a punk band from the Big Island of Hawaii featuring Erik Wilcox on Vocals/Guitar, Justine Hanchar on Bass/Vocals and Laura Roberts on Drums/Vocals. KOA have released three CD's and they're currently working on a fourth CD, scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020. They recently released two singles ("Give it a Chance" and "Just Press Play") from the forthcoming CD. Look for their music wherever you stream.
