Here it finally is -  a mix that is very special to my heart. This is a recreation of a mix I did on the official Anjuna Twitch Channel, a career culminating moment for me.⁣

It is truly amazing to see how much we have accomplished as a community this past year. A show that spawned out of a spell of loneliness and depression at the onset of lockdown has since evolved into something so beautiful and far more successful than I could have anticipated.⁣

It will never cease to amaze me what we can accomplish when we focus our efforts on supporting others.⁣

All of this is to say that what I have learned in this journey is that the biggest changes of our lives occur in the small moments. The biggest accomplishments, the best victories, the most healing...  these things come from doing pieces of that work every day. I found that once I got over the initial struggle of starting, I could keep up the work. My life would work around it. I would work around it. I just needed some momentum. ⁣

I think that's what we could all benefit from - positive momentum. Some encouragement to start walking in the direction of our dreams. If we build up enough positive momentum, we can roll through any obstacles and keep going. Before you know it, we will be there. ⁣

You got this. I believe in you. Just start. Start walking in the direction of your dreams. Little by little, and I promise you, you will get there. My hope is that this mix provides you the encouragement to do just that, to start walking.  ⁣

I decided to include a lot of my favourite personal mixes that I have used before so if you have listened to some of my mixes you will be very familiar with a lot of the tunes.
3 reasons - Great tunes, lots of 'civilians' enjoying the Food Festival and getting them to buy cocktails from FlairNFunk.

While it's been relatively quiet on the DJ gig front during this period of COVID quarantine, I have been fortunate in doing a pair of livestreams with my home away from home, Spybar Chicago. I recently did a 4+ hour set there where I had all night, from start to finish, to weave a musical tapestry and tell a story of my choosing. I have been wanting to do a historical tribute set that touches on some different times in my life as a fan of this music and different stages of my DJ career and artist evolution. While impossible to play every song that has made an impact on me in 20+ years of experience as a DJ and even longer as a devoted fan of the music, I compiled a big arsenal of songs that I felt would work well together, and just attempted to play as many of them as I could, while still keeping to an upward trajectory and a cohesive story. It was a bit of a journey for me to play this one, and I'm really happy with how it came together. This set includes music dating back to 1992 or even earlier, and includes landmark music for me from then to current day. This is part two - the second half of this journey (hours 3 and 4)-- the conclusion of this musical odyssey!

OCULA has quite rapidly become one of the premiere names in house music. After a rapid rise to prominence with back-to-back releases on deadmau5’s epochal label mau5trap, the Staffordshire, UK native has quickly made a mark with his blend of moving, organic melodic house. He draws inspiration from the iconic soundscapes and sonic innovations of Jon Hopkins and the crisp, melodic nostalgia of deadmau5, amongst others.
