<p>Wehbba lands on Tronic on his own this time, with some heavy-hitting, juicy numbers oozing low-end goodness and rocksteady impact. The title track comes down thumping with intricately programmed drums and subtly shuffling hats when -out of nowhere- a snippet of a funked-out mega riff jumps out and re-assesses the situation. Manic rises ensue and the happily plodding bassline keeps everything intact. <br />
On &#8220;Tyrant&#8221; the locked-down sub bass comes into center stage with playful percussion tricks being employed over the top. Repetitive synth worms make their way to our brains while a mangled vocal sample offers a more austere tone only heightened by otherworldly chords. Despot&#8217;s interpretation focuses on the mechanical elements and riff, to which he adds huge synths stabs and a good dose of tense atmospherics.</p>

Welcome 2016! We’re kicking it off with a vibing 2 track club bomb by Andre Butano & Pablo Inzunza.  The EP is named after it’s A-Side, La Pasadena, which is sure to charge up any crowd. Butanos signature groove shines through while heavy bass is carrying along soothing synth lines that are leading their way into an almost robot like pattern. Ataraxia strikes with a pushing bass drum and deep chords, just as you would expect it from a proper B-Side. As 2015 closed with 10 years 8bit and catalogue nr.100, the journey couldn’t continue any better. We hope you like them as much as we do!

Clubsonica Records kicks off the new year in style with a brand new single from label artist Rick Pier O'Neil. The French producer and RPO label boss last appeared on the Colombian imprint in March of 2017 with his ‘Ambivalent' single. Now following his most prolific year yet Rick makes a welcome return to Clubsonica with ‘Something Wrong' alongside remixes from Mauro Aguirre, Paul Deep and N'Pot. 

As a permanent fixture in the minds of progressive music fans Rick's new work is always hugely anticipated and perhaps none moreso than ‘Something Wrong'. From its ominous beginnings comes tough beats, devilish effects and rippling rhythms, all wrapped up in a tightly wound techno framework. Shifts in the narrative take you further into futuristic design before a stripped back second act builds a feverous tension, culminating in the ultimate sonic crescendo. 

The first interpretation of ‘Something Wrong' is provided by Mauro Aguirre who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Colombian artist collaborated with fellow countryman Kamilo Sanclemente on the label's 35th release from October of this year. The duos ‘Oceans Of Storms' proved to be a defining track for the label and now Mauro returns for a hugely anticipated solo remix of ‘Something Wrong'. Staying true to the dark themes from the original, the Colombian artist has put a more pure progressive house spin on the track with a chuggy groove and wicked cadence. A timely drop transitions the piece into hypnotic territory as heavy claps and dark stabs highlight the framework. A smooth modular build makes for a memorable and hugely dramatic break before a quick re-entry summons a driving finale.

The second interpretation of ‘Something Wrong' is provided by Paul Deep who returns to the label for his third appearance. The Argentinean artist previously appeared with fellow countryman Martin Gardoqui when the duo released their 'Alliance' single in February of 2017. Now with Paul's solo career rapidly rising, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite returns with a superb rendition of 'Something Wrong'. From its warm groove to tantalizing hypnotics it's a smooth, anticipatory beginning. Waves of atmosphere and a hazy backdrop set a subtle yet dramatic tone while the rolling cadence continues to power the core. A short break keeps the steady buzz intact as the percussion fires amidst waves of wispy effects, perfectly setting up a heads down third act. 

The third and final interpretation of 'Something Wrong' is provided by Nicolás Delfino aka N'Pot who makes his label debut. The Argentinean artist is coming off an incredible year, highlighted by appearances on Balkan Connection, MNL, Northern Lights and One Of A Kind. Known for his dark progressive style Nicolás seems like the ideal candidate to remix 'Something Wrong' and the results certainly prove just that. With a deeper more heady take it not only complements the previous versions wonderfully but rounds the release out on a high note. It's flawlessly contoured groove lays down the perfect backbone for dubby effects, rough stabs and a buzzing tonal tension. A delight for early or late night and perhaps N'Pot's most refined work to date. Clubsonica solidified itself as a leader in the progressive movement as 2017 ended and the labels momentum continues to rise with this stellar outing from Rick Pier O'Neil as 2018 begins.

Solo Tamas and Eli Brown are two new, fast rising talents who have been snapped up by the ever on point Moon Harbour for a fantastic two track EP that really establishes their sound. 

Solo Tamas is a DJ, vocalist and producer with ties to Elrow, Sola and Repopulate Mars and in just over a year has quickly started turning heads with his characterful sounds and DJ style. Here he links with the UK’s Eli Brown, another new school artist very much in the ascendancy thanks to big tunes on Relief and Toolroom and high-profile gigs at places like fabric. Their unique enthusiasm and energy shines through in the two off kilter tunes they serve up here. 

First up is the fresh and popping ‘Lucky’, which has girding bass dipping down low and sweeping you up off your feet. Clever filters and FX bring edginess, as does a well-treated vocal and unhinged synth line. It’s colourful and quirky house music designed squarely for the floor and is sure to get huge results. 

Then comes the big ‘Call Me When’, a driving and unrelenting track with elastic drums and stark hits all making you move. More taught vocals and subtle melodic elements are stitched in to make this a peak time, high impact track that never lets energy levels dip. 

These are expertly designed dancing tunes from two of the best young names in the game.

This time it is a two tracker. Side A is the original of "The green Jacket". A heavy rumbler with tribalistic drums and percussive shots. All topped off with a driving bassline plus some witty vocals. Uknowhowwedu! Continuing the quality remix philosophy, they this time got one of Hungary's finest Techhouse producer Snilloc in the boat. Already well known for his primetime releases which are regularly played by the likes of Marco Carola, Loco Dice and many others, he once again creates a top notch tune. His remix is a twisted bass roller which is hypnotically building up until a fantastic breakdown, just to start it all over again. This one should satisfy all Techheadz which like the bass to be dripping viscously out of soundsystems. Slammer time!
