ISM-015 Dubbyman - Alpha Transmissions EP

You always can guarantee with a release from Dubbyman that not only will you get music with gorgeous depth and warmth, but also an EP that is versatile and generous as he often includes other musicians and producers in his projects. The Alpha Transmissions EP a long-awaited project is no exception with Dubbyman bringing his deep house and laid-back breakbeat style to Inner Shift Music. To our delight it also features label owners Brad P and Rai Scott. We last saw Dubbyman (along with Above Smoke) on Inner Shift on remix duties for the .Mahal. Space Space release where Inner Shift and Deep Explorer teamed up for 'the joint venture'. This versatile EP with its mix of deep house and downtempo breakbeat tracks includes contributions from talented musicians, collaboration, and remixes. 

As a bonus there are also two additional remixes of the A2 track 'In the Space' from label owners Brad P and Rai Scott respectively that are available as digital bonus tracks. If you buy the EP from the label’s website or Bandcamp page, the full digital EP with the two extra tracks is included.

Tepui, also known as Tobias Petersen, is a multifaceted artist hailing from Berlin. He wears multiple hats as a DJ, a producer, and an avid record collector. Tepui's musical journey is a tapestry woven from his diverse life experiences. As a youth, he traversed the globe, calling Brazil, South Africa, and Venezuela home, and in doing so, he absorbed a rich tapestry of cultures and musical genres, including the enchanting rhythms of bossa nova, the infectious beats of reggaeton, and his eventual deep dive into the mesmerizing world of electronic music.
Tobias' love affair with vinyl records began at an early age, nurtured by the influence of his father's modest collection of Brazilian and Italian records. This passion for vinyl continued to flourish and evolve as he embarked on his own musical odyssey. In 2015, Tobias made the pivotal decision to relocate to Berlin, a city renowned for its thriving electronic music scene. His move was driven by a desire to immerse himself in the heart of the electronic music community while pursuing his studies in event management.
Today, you'll find Tepui dedicating the majority of his time within the confines of his studio, where he meticulously crafts his unique soundscapes. Additionally, he can often be found scouring the vibrant record shops of Berlin, forever in search of the elusive and distinctive electronic records that form the backbone of his musical journey. Tepui's eclectic background, unwavering dedication, and relentless pursuit of musical treasures make him a captivating figure in Berlin's electronic music landscape.

We’re not sure if it’s the crisp, hardware driven productions or the impromptu appearances of his elusive facial hair that make Harrison BDP the revered artist he is today (only joking, it's definitely mainly the tunes).
