I'm asking you a question but I think I know the answer -
Well, I think I know exactly what you'd say if I were you
But I am me and you are you, and you are not me are ya ?
Maybe I should ask the question and let you say something too !?

THE PROCESS

You know how when you walk along
Your legs build up a rhythm
And your thinking kind of builds a rhythm too ?
Well, if you stick some words to it
That make a bit of sense, and rhyme,
Then you can write it down, that's what I do.
Then you can be a poet too
And you don't need the big words,
The little ones are much more than enough.
They're easier to swap about,
More likely to have 'rhymers'
And more useful when you're writing about stuff
That we experience every day
(Ok, so that's a big word
But I didn't say I wasn't gonna use 'em.
It's just that I prefer to use
The smaller everyday words -
I have kids you know, I don't want to confuse 'em )

GOOSEY GOOSEY

about a goose family - five grown babies, two adults, two hangers-on

Goosey goosey one two three
Four five six seven eight nine I see !
You're chilling out upon the grass
At least until I try to pass
Then up you get and run at me
But goose, I'm just not scared, you see
I knew you as a fluffy thing
Sheltering 'neath your mother's wing
So you did not get blown away
Upon that cold and windy day
And that is why for all your bluff
I see you as a ball of fluff
And goosey, one two three five four
I'm not scared now, nor was before.

Now sheep, that's another matter....

Stand me in a field of sheep
And I would just lay down and weep
With distraught sobs and woeful cries
As I just cannot stand their eyes.
I don't know if it's guilt or fear
That makes me shiver when they're near.
My feelings they get in a stew.
It's guilt then, huh ? Coz sheep do too

THE HILL'S STILL THERE

"I'm very tired, can't you see ?"
You said, as you gazed up at me.
I'd seen you sinking to the ground
"My head is spinning round and round"
You said, just as you laid it down
On mossy grass with trees around
And sunshine sparkling through the leaves
That shivered in the gentle breeze.
The brook flowed by without a care
That moss was getting in your hair.
"It is so peaceful here, yet still
I'd really like to climb that hill !"
"Well, take a rest, and then we'll see
If you can find the energy
To get back up and start anew -
The hill's still there, and so are you."

My sink would be full
Although most would be stacked on the drainer.

They're dirty, but that's cool.
I'm human, so it's a no-brainer :-)

... but actually, my microphone stand REALLY gets on my nerves sometimes :-)

It's fine and dandy, my microphone standy,
Til a microphone comes its way ...
And I've had a debate, and I think it's the weight
Of the microphone that makes it sway :-)
