Hello! My name is Thalia (the "h" is silent), and Kid Sister is the code name I'm using for my little music project. After writing my own music for several years, I'm finally getting around to recording! These songs were written and recorded in my bedroom closet, but I'm ready to expand my audience beyond my social circle and neglected laundry. So here I am!  

I find that my music is often inspired by my love of film and literature. Some of the works that have impacted my writing most significantly include John Steinbeck's "East of Eden," "Au Hasard Balthazar," "Taxi Driver," "About Elly," "The Virgin Suicides," "Kindred" by Octavia Butler, Truman Capote's "Breakfast At Tiffany's", "Brookyln", "The Shawshank Redemption," "Moonlight," "A Raisin In the Sun," and "Breadgivers." I love these stories for varying reasons, but what I appreciate most about them is how they have introduced me to new narratives, thus changing my approach to songwriting and storytelling through music. So in addition to feedback on my music, I will gladly accept any book or movie recommendations.
