Release Note:
Medicina EP is the first release from Psylocybina – a project promoting deep, mystic, and psychedelic shades of techno through events and podcasts. 

The first release comes from project founder Ariet (real name @michalgutkowski). The idea behind it was to create a soundtrack to a psychedelic trip in the context of underground club music. 

In the first track Medicina, the leading sound comes from sampled Icaro, a song that is sung during ayahuasca ceremonies by shamans. Chakapa which is used as a cleansing and healing ceremonial instrument is used as rattles, and together with a strong beat set the pace for the things to come. 

The second track is the Medicina Live Mix coming from Klara, a well-known persona in the psychedelic and hypnotic techno scene. An infused baseline takes over the stage, turning Medicina into a darker and mysterious side. 

Things get deeper and faster with Inner Journey where repetitive sequences combined with atonal pads, create tension that can be similar to a psychedelic substance taking over one's mind and body in an ambiguous way. 

Tribal Tool keeps the tempo with strong rhythms and jungle-like effects that invite the listener to a wild tribal dance. 

The fifth track Shaman’s Heart features Cecylia, a sound healing practitioner whose flute tuned to 432Hz laid on top of an etheric beat recalls a pleasant, heartwarming side of the psychedelic experience. 

The last track comes from an artist on the rise in the global hypnotic techno scene Polygonia. Here in the Shaman’s Heart remix, we can hear her softer side turning the original composition into an Integration song, another vital element of all psychedelic processes. Her remix sounds like a perfect ending track for an outdoor festival evoking a feeling of oneness, love, and compassion towards all beings. 

The release will be sold on a donation base model (Bandcamp). All the profit will support party-working initiatives that aim to educate about consciousness-altering substances as well as reduce damages caused by abusing them.

Odd Hills, a Lithuanian born, London based techno DJ, co-founder of Temple.Recordings and event series Temple.Invites. He also manages podcasts series called Temple.Prayer.

His love for electronic music began from a young age, but it wasn’t until he emigrated to the UK that he identified his true sound and style. Incorporating hypnotic, dark and melodic elements with experimental sounds, his unique style truly takes listeners on a mesmerising journey. His hard work and dedication to the scene has led him to play across a range of clubs in London, as well as in Glasgow and Vilnius.

The lack of physical events across the past few years has led to increased focus on the Temple.Prayer podcast series, which features a broad spectrum of techno styles, allowing up and coming DJs a chance to showcase their work, alongside international heavy-hitters.

With over a decade of experience under her belt Monster is now rightfully taking the place among Europe's best DJ. Showcasing her omnivorous taste for euphoric and fun music, Monster can be heard playing old school trance, techno, house, acid, breaks and everything in between, usually championing producers from her local Polish scene. Embracing the inner goddess of mischief, she's also the mastermind behind Bathroom DJ Greatest Hits parody account on Instagram.

Her career started in the late 00’s at Rozbrat, an anarchist squat and social centre in Poznań, Poland. That's where she started throwing Squat The Electricity nights, working tightly with the local scene, popularising electronic music among activists and activism among electronic music fans. Today, she's a member of Oramics (@oramicspl), a Polish platform supporting women, non-binary and queer people in electronic music. Their actions came to worldwide attention thanks to the Total Solidarity compilation.  

In 2018, she won a DJ contest held by Catz 'n Dogz and performed at their Wooded City Festival in Szczecin. Later that year, she delivered a mix for Violet's Naive label that was picked up by Pitchfork as one of their mixes of the month to the delight of Philip Sherburne: "this 99-minute set of acid, breakbeats, cascading piano house, electro, and even very early trance is cause to wonder why we haven’t heard of her before." A recording of her fierce closing party set at Unsound 2019 was featured in Resident Advisor's mix of the day series as well as in Pitchfork’s best mixes of January 2020. She was immediately asked to record a proper RA mix, the first Polish woman to do so since Magda. Since then she has recorded mixes for Boiler Room, Groove.de, Festimi, Crack Magazine, The Ransom Note and Mixmag, among others. 

Many bookings followed, solo and b2b e.g. with Solid Blake, Objekt and Shjva; from Berghain, Tresor (Berlin), Fold (London), Ankali (Prague), Post Club (Vilnus), Macadam (Nantes), and The White Hotel (Manchester) to local hotspots such as CEL & P23 (Katowice), Jasna 1 (Warsaw), Prozak 2.0 (Kraków) and Crackhouse (Gdańsk). She also plays festivals, including Poland's Audioriver and Wisłoujście, Germany's WHOLE or FLAAM in Slovakia. She's still a resident of Projekt LAB in Poznań, but when not DJ-ing, you can catch her running workshops for DJs at feminist events such as International Women’s Day fundraisers, as well as ones hosted by Oramics, and Granko (@granko-agency).

Welcome to our Miao podcast with our new guest from Iceland @diapl. 

Polish aspiring DJ and club co-owner based in Reykjavík in Iceland, always discovering and developing her own style, consistently delving into a variety of electronic music, currently focusing mainly on hypnotic, groovy sounds with a pinch of trance and classic techno. 

She took her first steps behind the booth as a creator and host of Open Decks series at Bravó Reykjavík - the then haven of the local scene.
These days, Klaudia is deeply involved into work on newly opened club which is currently the only one space, entirely dedicated to electronic arts in capital of Iceland - Radar.

In her DJ set, the boundaries between genres blur, creating a fluid and dynamic experience that surprises and delights at every turn. Vocals, when introduced, become another instrument in the ensemble, adding a human touch to the electronic landscape. The spacey elements serve as a sonic bridge, connecting different genres and vibes seamlessly. The melodies are carefully selected and woven into the fabric of the mix, creating a narrative that unfolds with each passing track.
