Fun projects need to be shared. In this case I like to give away my newest fun project - I did in my free time. Hashtag is a combination of five elements in one track. With the focus on a snare drum roll, a upward pitching part, a melody, a fat baseline and acid elements. Acid in that case means, crazy sounds in a groovy beat. Hope you like it - have fun.

Hungry Music has the kind of waterproof musical aesthetic that not many labels with under twenty releases under their belt have. The output is bold and atmospheric at same time. Travels through misty soundscapes are just one of their trademarks. The french label established its sound through a close circle of friends - namely, Worakls, N’to & Joachim Pastor.

It’s now time to let some of the most powerful recent releases get re-interpreted through six exclusive remixes.

The Hungry gang took on each others work and also invited luminaries and friends of the label such as Oliver Koletzki, Einmusik and Boris Brejcha to provide a mix for the first in a series of upcoming remix EPs.

DJ and producer Van Czar heads up the launch of this new Belgian label with the superb three tracker entitled Luna Roja and there will be much more to come from Van including collabs with top artists from around the world. The CZ sound will be all about atmospheric and versatile music that feels at home in the Underground, not limited to any kind of style, but music that is designed to move the crowds and deliver an experience filled with emotional feeling. We think this first release fits the bill perfectly so come and join us on our latest adventure through the wonderful world of music.
 
Luna Roja delivers a wonderfully atmospheric vibe throughout while keeping its groove firmly rooted in the Techno arena. Nice chunky kicks are joined by a playful bassline that dances through the track effortlessly as swirling pads provide that almost ethereal atmosphere alongside a mesmerizing reverbed soft synth stab. Cool vocal shots are scattered all over and add character to the sound as the deep groove takes hold. This one goes deep and will definitely keep those late night sets in full on mode.

Soul Girl intros with a stunning powerful kick drum that pounds out a solid 4 x 4 beat as bright crispy hats fade in alongside punchy snappy snares and eerie ghostlike vocal shots. A deep throbbing bass joins in and we find ourselves locked on to the solid Techno fuelled groove. Heavy hitting synth stabs come in and ramps up the Techno groove that just oozes out of this one. One to watch here, big and bold, the bassbins are gonna love it.

Viral rounds up this superb label debut and brings home the Techno sound in style. Right from the get go you will be forced as the solid beats take hold. A tight drum arrangement made up of punchy kicks and crispy hats deliver a flowing rhythmic vibe alongside an energetic stuttering synth that fills out the background. The bass sits off the kick drums beautifully and melts into the arrangement while the layers build. A frenzy of percussions bring an organized noise that is complimented by some cool synths and pads. Top notch stuff that you will not want to miss.

After an excellent performance at Drumcode Festival, Tiger Stripes comes strong with his first EP on the label since 2009.

Since 2015 Tiger Stripes has been an invaluable contributor to Drumcode’s ‘little brother’ Truesoul. As recent as March he released ‘Sound of the Bettest’ in collaboration with Riva Starr, their fresh raggainfluenced take on techno entrenched as a 2018 highlight for the label. Drawing from a wide palette of sounds to craft his groovy, personality-laden take on techno, the Swede has produced arguably his finest work yet with the ‘Insanity’ EP. ‘Baby’ is a melting pot of three decades worth of influences, from James Brown, to Northern Soul and indie pop of Ariel Pink.

The result is a stunning kaleidoscopic techno treat, that brims with rave, garage and funky house spirit. ‘Insane’ is a dynamic feast for the eardrums as trippy arpeggios, a persistent vocal and lush synth leads cascade throughout the seven-minute track. ‘Too Deep (to Bear) follows, an exhilarating slice of late-night techno before the EP concludes with ‘Dying Planet’, mixing up a potent environmental message with tough dancefloor functionalism.

Coming in hot off the release of their recent Weltlinie EP, Pan-Pot return with four of their cohorts who have taken all five tracks and reworked them into a bundle of stellar remixes on the Weltlinie Remixes EP.
Kicking things off is Frankfurt legend Gregor Tresher who twists ‘Weltlinie' into a relentless, yet delirious venture with his signature brand of infectious grooves and floating atmospherics, resulting in a timeless future classic. Up next we see Glasgow’s own Gary Beck reshape not one but two tracks into fierce, heavy hitting Techno bombs. Beck’s first take is ‘Startphase’, where he wastes no time in getting straight to the point as relentless, hi-pace percussion sets the tone for untamed aural animations sure to set the speakers on fire. Shlomi Aber steps to the plate next and serves up a stripped down, yet tough adaptation of ‘Exzentrisch’ where percussion is king, emanating in a rowdy dance floor detonation. Following is Poland’s rising star DEAS who takes ‘Zeit’ into sinister territories perfect for dark spaces and peak time encounters that will surely set the floor on fire. Wrapping up the EP is Beck’s second attack with his rework of ‘Freigeist’, and here we see him take a somewhat different approach where harmony and emotion take center stage as lush harmonics float over Beck’s trademark high energy programming.

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from label regular Fabio Neural.

Italian born Fabio Neural is known for the consistency of his productions that cover a full spectrum of techno but always with a dance floor focus. A popular DJ booking playing many of Europes top clubs and festivals, Fabio also boasts previous releases on labels including Dubfires SCI+TEC, Kaiserdiscos KD Music, Josh Winks Ovum, Andre Croms OFF Recordings, and Adam Beyers Truesoul.

Fabio Neural is a core member of Intecs family of artists, and this release marks his eighth EP on the label. One of those early EPs was made in collaboration with Alex Costa, but the rest have been solo efforts. Arguably one of Carl Cox and Jon Rundells favourite artists, this latest outing on Intec is another fine example of Fabios exceptional production skills.

Flow Beat kick starts proceedings and takes its title from the lyrics of the main vocal sample, which contrasts nicely with a second chanting style vocal that adds complimenting texture. Dark with an acid bassline and dramatic ambient stabs, this cut of charismatic techno has a great warehouse part vibe.

Taking things up a gear is System which has a heads down techno style built on hard hitting percussion and rhythmical synth stabs. Whereas some may consider the first track to be light hearted, the sinister vibe of this is a stark contrast.

With their ‘Moving Forward’ track widely regarded as one of the highlight cuts from Drumcode’s recent ‘A-Sides’ compilation, Manic Brothers make their full debut on the label with this four-track EP of elegantly industrial techno. ‘Custom Illusion’ sets the tone for the EP’s mechanical yet melodic aesthetic, shunting and shimmering in equal measure as it weaves a tensely poised atmosphere. ‘Black Bay’ works up a full force groove punctuated by a pitch-bent elastic hook and panning effects. ‘Restless’ continues the exploration of sparse feelings with a marching, cavernous groove and abrasive pulsing pads while ‘Gone Too Soon’ conjures up an enchanting wall of sound with the distinctive melodic hook adding a warm hypnotic charm to a backdrop of resounding, pounding beats.
