In this installment of Sound Advice, we speak with Noizu, who has made waves since debuting on Skrillex’s HOWSLA compilation in 2017, and moving from London to Los Angeles. After meeting his mentor, Chris Lake, Noizu released one hit after another; from “LFO” and “Wavey” to his remix of DJ Snake’s “A Different Way,” and singles like “Summer 91 (Looking Back)” and “Dancing In The Dark.” In this exclusive interview, Noizu spoke about making it in the American dance music scene, his production, Techne label and upcoming Las Vegas residency, and the role that SoundCloud has played throughout his career.

Recorded live at The Office in Nashville, this set was a smooth blend of groove and quirk. Aaron Rogue combined his own minimal, dancefloor-driven style with the unique wackiness of the Dirtybird sound, giving a nod to the DJs who originally inspired him to begin his music journey. Melodic, funky, and undeniably dancey, the set leaned into the offbeat charm of The Office’s Industry Night, weaving together weird textures and classic Rogue rhythms. A subtle homage to the sounds that shaped his early journey, reimagined through his current lens.
