Avery is the artist, singer songwriter, and producer behind Ascendants, a Detroit based avant pop project built on her own signature genre, Soulprogtronic. Her music blends the emotional intimacy of classic songwriting with experimental electronic textures, cinematic arrangements, and a mythic sense of atmosphere.

Avery’s musical foundation began early. Classically trained on piano from childhood into early adulthood, she developed a strong understanding of harmony, composition, and orchestral texture. Vocally, she was trained by her father, a former operatic tenor, whose influence shaped her dynamic control, tone, emotional depth, and expressive range. These classical roots appear throughout her work in lush chord movements, dramatic builds, and the multi layer vocal harmonies that have become her signature.

Ascendants is a showcase of Avery’s versatility. She moves effortlessly from fragile, intimate songs to full scale multi track productions that feel immersive and cinematic. Her music often features complex vocal stacking, intricate melodic development, and emotional dynamics that unfold like stories. The result is a sound that is both deeply personal and otherworldly.
