LAS GANAS SON INMENSAS CHRIS GREEN

A voice rises from Britain’s forgotten estates, speaking for families trapped between boarded shops and overflowing bins. The shine of a royal crown sits untouched in glass while fridges in tower blocks stay empty. Schools are sold off, youth clubs closed, and young people get profiled for their postcode, while politicians claim luxuries as “expenses.”

This is a portrait of a nation in decline, labourers abandoned, promises broken, and blame shifted onto immigrants while the wealthy toast in Mayfair. “Heritage” is sold as pride, but in reality, it’s stress; empire’s legacy reduced to crumbling estates. Grenfell’s flames are still unanswered, the NHS is being sold piece by piece, and grief is packaged as slogans instead of justice.

Yet through this bleakness, hope refuses to die. Roses grow through the cracks in the pavement, even as cold nights and empty cupboards weigh heavy. The voice reminds its people: they are not forgotten, they are the storm, the roots, the fire that could still set this nation right.
